music I like this song alot...it sounds like a 70s disco song but with a modern production.I don't know anything about the singer...is she big in Europe?

Mike, what other songs does she sing? Is she popular in your area? Here in the states, dance music doesn't get any real airplay confused

Well...she is popular in Europe. Not massive like Madonna or Kylie, but she has a cult follwoing. She has released until now 3 solo albums. She goes from blatant 80's rip-off tom Ibiza esque tunes. She's a very versatile performance...surfing genders. She's not a producer puppet. Pure Pop galore.

Her last studio album (she even worked on this one with Fred S. from the B-52's) is a pop mastertpiece imo

This is a great track. Shame she never broke through on the American charts. Always wanted to get this album, too.

FUNNILY ENOUGH...

Bextor claimed that MJ saw this video and based his Rock My World video on it. Personally, I don't see the connection.

Unfortunately,a retro-sounding,modern-day disco song doesn't stand a chance in America. It's a shame because this is a superb track. It's similiar to the music that Jamiroquai is doing these days.

Always wanted to get this album, too.

Me too! I'm curious to hear the other songs.I wonder if the whole album takes the same approach?

She's definite B-grade or C-grade Europop, but it's ok.

That song was huge back then, well everywhere apart from the US. It was during my first year at Uni. The chicks were so into it and I used to dance to it all night long.
I knew the lyrics by heart. How embarassing but back then it was the shit! biggrin

Does it consist of other 70s-sounding,retro dance/disco tracks? In other words,do the other songs sound like "Murder On The Dancefloor"? lol I love modern-day disco songs with a late-70s flavor.
