Unexpected source of funk..check this out. I'm not going to say who this is because I want people to be surprised. What I will say is that it's an eighties artist (with a song from the 80s) and is produced by Jam and Lewis (and I'm nearly sure it was written by them as well). I would be surprised if people familar with the artist have heard this song unless they are big fans (or maybe heard it in the eighties).
http://www.youtube.com/wa...1N4X3VMUHI I want people to hear it and tell me if I'm nuts...Is this not surprisingly funky by a group that isn't known for funk at all? I know about the album this came from (and it's major hit single) but I never heard this song until yesterday. I also have the groups greatest hits album and this track isn't on there (and it's not like this is a group with a too many hits in America!) so I had no idea they ever did anything this damn funky. Dude, this is not a surprise since "Crash" is one of the League's most popular albums. And they've always had the groove. It was just in electronic form. You ever listen to their first single, "Being Boiled". Electro-Funk at its best. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

Yeah, 1986's "Crash" is the album where Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis produced several songs -- "Human," "I Need Your Loving" and "Love Is All That Matters." This song was the follow-up to "Human."
I wouldn't necessarily call "I Need Your Loving" funky, though -- it sounds like a typical slap-and-swing Flyte Tyme tune. [Edited 9/9/07 8:11am] THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums. HOLD ON TO YOUR DRAWERS!
