My father was born and raised in South Carolina , so I grew up listening to that kind of music. And don't y'all forget about Mississippi. Those artists are more popular down here than mainstream R&B. I heard Johnnie in an interview about a year before he died. He was asked about singing different styles of music, he said he could sing any kind because he was a "sanger". He said he could "sang" anything from country to soul...and he did. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Don't forget after hour joint, and Soul Heaven.,Soul heaven has to be my most favorite Johnnie Taylor, because he names all the artists that passed on before him, and how they're throwing this soul concert in heaven, it almost makes you wanna close your eyes and envision the partying in heaven, and would it be like that we finally make it there. It truly does! | |

It truly does! Especially after the way he died. He was with his girfriend when he died (and his wife was at home). Talk about living the life of your songs. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-
