Why are you guys always Hatin' on timberlake?

You have to give he respect for what he does. Do people have a problem with him being a white R&B singer? There aren't many true R&B singers that can out sing him. And there definitely aren't many performers that can out dance him.

I hated that N'sync shit but I give him credit how he re-invented himself and he is talented. the only reason I didn't like nsync was becomes I don't like that type of pop music. It had nothing to do with them being white.

I would like to see more white artist getting a break at attempting an R&B career. It should be about the music and your ability and not your appearance.

It's also ashame that there hasn't been more white rappers. But as we all know the rap industry is fake as hell to begin with. You have all these rappers frontin' like they are all gangstas. It should be about your lyrical content and not the phony image you portray to the fans and media.

I like Justin alright and still find him interesting enough to check out what he does next. What I don't like are all the peripheral antics...and ego antics.

He doesn't see the impact of this now because it's hard to see when you're "riding high", but when he hits a bump...he will. This is when those that stick around because they like you as a person, as well as an artist, come through. He'll find that many will scatter.

I suggest that people need to start using their Cubases. There is alot of money in producing Beats now a days. I heard the same criticism about Pharrell. Somebody said that anybody could do the same with their casio keyboard. I just don't think it is that easy. Look at the money pharrell and Timberland have made on beats.

Who in the industry has a better voice singing live. I heard Usher live in concert and his voice is terrible. There isn't much to choose from in Today's music scene.

There only few other true artists that are Currently on the Scene:
Anthony Hamilton
musiq
Angie Stone
Donell Jones
raheem Devaughn
Mint condition
and a couple of others

I'll admit, I was on the Justin Timberlake bandwagon for a while. I thought Justified was the fire and I even went to see him in concert on the Justified and Stripped tour. Worst concert I ever saw.It was all pyrotechnics and 20,000 backup dancers, some lip synching and even an entire segment of him beatboxing. shake Now that's just wrong.

Now he wants to act like that since he produced a couple of albums that not only is he an R&B artist, but he IS R&B. Like what he's doing is so innovative and everyone pales in comparison.

I think he's frontin just as much as the rappers you mentioned. His music is whatever the "Flavor of the Moment" is and without Timbo he'd be nothing and that's not saying much cause I can't stand him either.

Timberfake has the weakest, most annoying falsetto of all time and thinks he's all that.

he's an arrogant asshole with little talent, and yet thinks he's big enough to diss Prince (whilst using ex-NPG band members for his live act)

All of his hits on the first album were songs MJ rejected.

He is not cool in the slightest, he's actually tragically un-hip, he's not good-looking in any discernible form,

He acted like a bitch towards Janet and let her take all the blame for the Superbowl incident when it was HIS fault.

He can't act for shit.

That enough reasons for ya?

I don't think people have issues with him being a "white" r&b singer. I think people don't like the fact that he tries to be something (musically) that is not true to himself.

I don't like the way he did Janet after the superbowl fiasco. He let her take the heat for the entire performance when he was the one who ripped off the bra. He avoided the press and was never fined or accused by the FCC (all of the blame fell on Janet).

I do enjoy some of his music (even some of the work he did with other people like Charlie Wilson), but his r&b is more "pop" than anything. If you want to talk about a true white r&b artist, that is Robin Thicke. Listening to Robin's music, you can definitely tell that he truly studied classic r&b. Everything from melody, arrangements, and songwriting phrasing. That's why "Lost Without You" was so big.

As for Justin, if u look at all of the work he did with NSync, he wasn't the only voice on their BIG hits. JC was the more dominate singer in the group and Justin was more like 2nd backup. I believe that the record company crafted Justin into this "pop" and "r&b" prince. Especially after Celebrity did so well.

Another thing that hurts him is his press image. Dating all of the "trash" of Hollywood and dumping them doesn't make his image any better.

I dont HATE on Timberlake...I just think he's lame...

but I think it has more to do with the fact that I was raised on TRUE r&b music. My dad graduated high school in 1975 so our house was SATURATED with music by The Moments, the Dells, the Delphonics, Earth Wind and Fire, etc....THAT IS R&B....nobody out can touch that. So, thats why I think he is lame. He's doing today's version of r&b and thats cool cuz todays music listener dont know/demand/expect much. But for those of us that was exposed to the REAL stuff, we can spot the fakers. Its not just Timberlake either

I never said JT was cool, I just said he had talent.

What performer can out dance him? Nobody answered this question.

I asked who is the better right now that is current? No answers.

Timberland has made alot of careers. Without Timberland there would of been no AAliyah, Ginuwine, Magoo, Missy elliot, etc.

All Current artist are just performers. Only a handful write and produce their own music ( Anthony Hamilton, Musiq, B. Mcknight)

Look at Beyonce who has people creating complete songs where she just shows up for a couple of hours to lay some vocals and next thing she has finished a CD.

Look at JayZ. If it weren't for Kanye west and swiss beats he would have no hit records. He used to have good raps but his songs would be nothing without those classic beats he uses.

1. Chris Brown and Usher can outdance JT anyday.
2. Robin Thicke is more talented than JT (musically anyway)

As for Jay-Z, how can u say that if it wasn't for Swiss Beats and Kanye he wouldn't have hits? Jay-Z helped these people get on the map. I'm not a big Jay-Z fan, but I don't necessarilly agree that he uses a lot of classic beats. That title goes to Snoop.

Usher and Chris Brown can dance. But How many white guys can dance like JT. I do like Robin Thicke ( but he definitely can't dance, check out that performance he did on the today show. He looked like a fool trying to dance)

I think a lot of people forget about Jon B. He doesn't have tremendous vocal range but I like his music.

It seems to me that you're implying that people secretly don't like Justin Timberlake because he's white and he's trying too hard. That's not the case. People don't like him because he's an arrogant bastard and you can't deny that.

He's caught up in his own manufactured image and now he thinks he some kind of R&B king or something. His music is basic pop with a generic "urban" sound. You can't really compare him to Jon B. (love me some Jon B.) and Robin Thicke cause they weren't feeling themselves the way JT is. They did their thing and acknowledged the roots of their music.

If bluegrass music or something suddenly exploded on the top of the charts, he'd be all over that, too. Justin's a puppet, he don't care about authenticity or creativity. I'm ashamed of the fact I was ever a fan.

I wouldn't say EVERY hot young star does that. I think a lot of them do it, that is only because everyone around u pumps ur head full of crap and it gives u a false illusion of what u really are. It took Prince a long time to get to that point. I don't think it hit him until after Emancipation was released that his view changed.

I'm not saying Prince isn't cocky or conceited anymore. I believe that Prince's attitude is strictly about the music now. He knows he has more talent than anyone playing currently. To me, in his recent interviews (since 2001 or so), he seems to have a "been there...done that" attitude. Besides, he has always had a good image of himself. Come on, who in their right mind would be caught wearing running shots and high heel boots in 1979?

To me, I think Prince (in his hey-day) took advantage of a lot of things that fame had to offer. Saying that, I do beleive that Prince learned the value of a dollar and also of what it took to achieve something. His background was much different than some of this generation (JT, Britney, etc.). P grew up poor and worked hard for what he got. I'm not saying that JT and the rest of them didn't work hard, but they didn't grow up poor. They had damn near everything given to them. The older they have gotten, they more attention and things they crave. In 1984, we never saw Prince in the National Enquirer partying and getting followed by the paparatizi.

Anyway if you want real blue eyed soul look no further than robin thicke, average white band, hall & oates, and dino. Justin just sucks period.

Justin Tiberlake lost his "ghetto pass" when he let Janet Jackson take the fall for something they shared equal participation in, MTV blacklists Janet (claiming the songs were not that good, as if anything else played on MTV are masterpieces), yet promotes Justin Timberlake heavily. His cd was good due to Timberlands beats, In my opinion, it was a not only a sexist but also racist situation. I really doubt the uproar would have been the same had it been Madonna, or Britney Spears in the same position. Justin knew he had lost many Black fans and when his last album came out, that was when he decided to finally admit that he let Janet take the fall (trying to regain his "ghetto pass") He is doing no more than what Elvis did in the 50's, mimic Black artist, utilize the R and b sound and bring it to the masses as he is some type of innovator. The public falls for this generation after generation.
