WHY THE HELL HASN'T LEVEL 42 TOURED THE U.S. YET?

They were one of the funkiest New Wave bands of the 80's and just incredible musicians all around. But Mark King and his crew gave it a rest by the early 90's. But they reunited I belive in 2002. But now that they're 5 years into their reunion (with a couple of new cats on board), they've been touring the UK many times. But they've yet to even touch American soil, and this angers me!!!! pissed

I mean don't they realize they still have an American fanbase? They had some success over here with their "World Machine" and "Running in the Family" albums, you know? So I don't get why they won't tour the U.S. mad

have you tried to send them fan mail? Going through their fan site or fan club could be a way. Honestly, I had no idea they were even around since Lessons in love.

Its very tough for bands to come over here, meaning it takes alot of $$$ to do and Visa clearnaces and things like that. It took 20 years to get a-Ha to play here in NYC back in late 2005, but i heard it cost a fortune to do, despite selling out the venue it was a big expense.

Yup, it's basically because of the reasons lastdecember just mentioned...I remember their manager saying that there would have to be a huge popular demand for it, because of the money and what it takes for international artists to get Visa clearance for The U.S., post 9-11-----shoot, their last album, 'Retroglide' wasn't even released here in the US---it's a shame, cause Lord knows I'd love to see them over here again--I'd be front and center,LOL!! (I did catch Level when they toured back in the mid 80's, on both a small club tour and opening for Madonna --but they were were riding on the wave of two successful albums back then....
