Rumors are saying that it won't be on the ablum, and it for sure isn't the lead single. You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

i hope that rumor is true! Same here. I'm officially going on the record to say that this is utter shit. Well, I kinda like the way she sings the verses. The rest of it gets on my tits though.

I agree,it doesn't sound like it could be a single. It'll work better as an album track.

Did they mention that it's a leak? I didn't know that radio stations could legally play an unfinished song that leaked on the Internet (but then again,I never listen to the radio these days, lol). . [Edited 8/24/07 0:26am]

That's correct. She hasn't finalized the tracklist. The majority of the songs are in demo form. She's gonna go back into the studio next month to complete some of the songs, add new vocals, etc.Supposedly, she wants "more bass, more bells and whistles" on the Timbaland tracks I like her approach to making music. She always records enough tracks for two albums, then she simply picks the best 13 or so songs for the album.I heard that there are over 30 songs recorded for this project already.

Why not just call it "blaxploitation" and call it a day. Sounds like Timberlake's view on Madonna sorry white woman recording a hip hop album

http://img481.imageshack....scmpg4.jpg Exclusive: Barracuda Got Beats The Beat Goes On,the Madonna/Pharrell collaboration which was leaked some days ago,is already circulating in New York clubs on a promo CD containing six tracks, supposedly played at Warner meetings last month. The CD contains the following tracks: The Beat Goes On,L.S.D (a Stuart Price collaboration),Candy,Still Doin It,La La and Keep My Love (Pt.1). Apparently, spinning the song without mentioning it as a Madonna song is part of a strategy already used 2 years ago by Stuart Price with the Confessions tracks. "Beat" has been played at Barracuda club 3 days ago. that 6-song promo CD is real!

just for fun,I'm gonna list all of the tracks that have been mentioned so far.I'll put a star next to the titles that have been officially confirmed and are likely to really exist. If I know who produced a song,or appears on it,I'll list that information too:
Sleep Deprivation Turn It Up Going Down Little Thang (featuring Justin Timberlake on vocals) *The Beat Goes On (already leaked) Tight Fit Black (also known as "Wizzle") Off The Hook (featuring Timbaland on vocals) *Candy Store (featuring Pharrell on vocals) Eleven Minutes Do I Care Freelance.34 (an unfinished interlude) U n Me Starlight Hit It Hard Got This Down Right It Hurts (a balld produced with Justin Timberlake) *Still Doin It (appears on the 6-song promo CD that was played in NY nightclubs) *Keep My Love (Part One) (appears on the 6-song promo CD that was played in NY nightclubs) Let Me Do It (produced with Pharrell) Tragedy (produced by Timbaland,Stuart Price and Greg Cerrone) L.S.D (produced by Stuart Price and Madonna) *La La (produced by Timbaland) Black Tie Affair Casanova Feeling Good Esoteric Trip The Light High Rollers So-And-So Isle Of Man White Knight Lovers Delight Adolescent Fears This project began in late 2006.Madonna and Stuart Price recorded a bunch of tracks right after the 'Confessions' tour concluded. In January of this year, she went into the studio with Pharell and recorded four songs.A month later, she worked with Timbaland and Justin Timberlake on five songs. When they worked again in July, another five songs were written and recorded.Swizz Beatz and Madonna worked on four songs at the beginning of the summer.Looking at the list above, she has enough songs for a 2-CD set,an idea that she is actually considering.

[Edited 8/24/07 0:26am] They put on the PDT it was a "Beat Exclusive". It's funny that they would do something like that considering it goes up on a screen and can be traced back to them very easily.

Would it be belaboring the obvious for me to say I'd LOVE to get my hands on that!? "I would say that Prince's top thirty percent is great. Of that thirty percent, I'll bet the public has heard twenty percent of it." - Susan Rogers, "Hunting for Prince's Vault", BBC, 2015

The song is pretty weak. I honestly dont think it will be a single, and ill be surprised if its on the album. That said ....who knows? I personally think her lead single HAS to be groundbreaking. It hs to sound like nothing else, otherwise people aint gonna warm to this whole direction.
The Beat Goes On does sound totally generic so I hope it isnt the finished article. On the one hand when the track Music leaked it was the exact song completed, despite speculation it was a demo, however leaks of tracks like history that have been different to the leaked version.Anyway, Im hoping that she brings stuart in for the new record in some capacity - at least to mix the timbaand / Pharrell tracks to make the record sound more complete.

I've heard reports of the song being played on other stations, too.Kinda makes me wonder if this "leak" was intentional? So far,Warners hasn't sent any threatening notes Could this be Madonna's way of creating a little pre-release hype? Maybe she's throwing a bone to her fans,to get them excited about the project?
