I love both albums, but I have to agree with you on this one. Imagine has more filler than Plastic Ono Band IMO.

So, two orgers prefer POB.

BUMP.

Plastic Ono Band is a masterpiece. Sorry, what was the one called?

Def Plastic Ono Band, but both are great
Just hearing Lennon utter the words "I was dreamweaver, But now I'm reborn, I was the walrus, But now I'm John," you knew that the beatles were truly over.

These two albums could have easily beem moulded into a double lp. Plastic Ono Band is my fave but only just. Plastic Ono Band was John's post Beatle lp, Imagine was his post McCartney.

Plastic Ono Band is just such a complete statement from beginning to end. I don't think it can be topped.

But I'm a punk rocker so that screaming stuff really floats my boat, especially the end of Well Well Well. My lord what intensity.

If she never listened to his music and she never will, how would she know?

Plastic Ono Band is a masterpiece, one of the most complete albums of all time. Imagine has its moments, but it's not in the same league.

No question, Plastic Ono Band.

But Lennon said Imagine was like POB sugar coated for the masses, and I'd agree. POB is one of the rawest, most personal collections I've ever heard, but it's not for everyone. Imagine, Jealous Guy, & Crippled Inside touch upon some of the same ideas as Plastic Ono Band, but in a way that's more pleasing & less confrontational & angry. Even How Do You Sleep doesn't get all primal, and keeps its sense of humor.

But for me Isolation has to be one of the most underrated Lennon songs. A hidden classic and worth any difficulty you might encounter upon listening to POB!
