Artist with films about their career?

Let's see if we can name every music artist that's ever had a film about their career/life. I'll start it off:

-The Jacksons: An American Dream

Also, try to just name one film per post to give other posters a shot at naming a film.

Damn org bugs! lol
That's what I posted...The Temptations movie was the bomb!

Also, Richie Valens and Buddy Holly.
I hope they still do the Rick James movie. I'm readin his book right now and a movie would be off the hook.

I never knew that! Was it really a story about the Dells? I always thought it was just a dramatization about the rise and falls of black singing groups of the 60's and 70's.

The Dells were just the voices, the story wasn't about the Dells, but just about 60's Soul Music in general.

Many of the events in the story actually took place in towards real life soul musicians of that time. Bird being threatend over the balcony, that's Jckie Wilson, Eddie King Jr. doing drugs and being voted out the group for Flash, thats David Ruffin & Dennis Edwards.
