hey, what do you think of her 1985 single "Read My Lips"? It was rock/pop....a departure from the R&B stuff that she had been doing.Did you like it?

No, i think it`s crap boxed

Knowing what she`s capable of, it was almost like a waste of talent, if you know what i mean...

I noticed that in the 80s,many R&B female singers were venturing into rock (a little):

"Another Night" by Aretha Franklin (1985)
"Read My Lips" by Melba Moore (1985)
"The Beast In Me" by Bonnie Pointer (1985)

hmmm thoughts?

I`m not familiar with the Bonnie Pointer song, but i hate "Another night"...

btw, i was listening to a pointer sisters album, and i noticed one of them had a very good voice that stood out, you know who i mean?

I can`t remember the song, but maybe it was Anita hmmm The voice wasn`t deep at all.

btw, was it June Pointer who released a (self-titled) solo album in the late 80s, early 90s?
