UNDERRATED CLINTON CLASSIC - Cool Joe This midtempo funk burner off R&B Skeletons in the Closet was always my favorite on that disc. It has a classic down-and-dirty groove and a sweet Maceo solo. What is especially nice about it is that is relatively gimmick free, just P-Funk laying it down, plus I enjoy the lyrical storyline. I never hear anyone talk about this track and it never received any sort of notoriety, but as a diehard, lifelong funkateer, I wholeheartedly endorse it. Anyone else hip to this one? Right on, Joe!
Peace, Scott If you've got funk, you've got style. | |
