J-Lo has a new track out "Jenny From The Block". The track features the Lox and samples from songs by black artists. Also she spends most of the song talking about how humble and grounded she is...kind of hypocritical considering the recent MOBO controversy I think. How about you all?

First, I like the song. No, it's not the most brillant piece of music ever written, but it's catchy and perfect for radio.

Second, J-Lo giving a shout out to the Bronx is no different than Nelly giving a shout out to St. Louis on EVERY record, or any other rapper giving a shout out to their 'hoods.

Third, no one would ever have heard of Ashanti or Christina Milan if they hadn't written the lyrics for J-Lo's songs.

Fourth, J-lo's my girl and though I too am tired of the constant publicity about her love life, current projects, exs, etc, such is the life of a celebrity. She knows that as soon as people stop talking about her, her stardom will fade. And everyone is doing exactly what she wants them to do, which is to hate on her and talk about her constantly because it keeps her name in the spotlight.

J Lo should not b a singer. That applied 2 David Hasselhoff and she is not exempt either, imo.

Sorry Mixxx, Selena is DEAD. Jennifer just won a role in a movie. People didn't seem to like her in the movie anyhow, so how did she steal her career? Puffy did NOTHING for her career except destroy it, how could she think of kissing that cricket? She is still trying to regain her dignity after that (Whitney/Bobby) mistake. And Chris Judd must have a little dick and was just riding jlo to have a dancing job. Where is he now? hmmm? You need to quit dissing and aplaud her for not hooking up with Prince.

I think I only liked 'Play', yet, I'm not sure if I liked this purely for the tune, or the way she looked in the video. Hell, so many 'poptasticals' cash in with their quims or supposed manliness... It speaks little to me of true talent and artistic creativity. Poncing off other artists in such a blatant way for a 'hit'... we all know what this is all about. So I haven't heard her new one and have no desire to listen to it. I suppose 'Play' is ok for the league it is in. I make no mistake which league I'd rather be 'playing', pardon the obvious pun.
