I'll say "Good Times," because it's the first group's first post-Motown album and their voices were starting to mature under the Gamble/Huff sound. Another song is "Time Waits No One" from the "Triumph" album, which now seems like a precursor to Michael's solo career.
THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums. HOLD ON TO YOUR DRAWERS!

worship I still have vinyl of when it was still called Heartbreak Hotel.

That whole album is hot. Right after This Place Hotel, Time Waits For No One kicks in. cloud9

-Walk Right Now
-Good Times
-Time Waits For No One
-This Place Hotel (Probably my favorite)
-Everybody
-Lovely One
-Destiny
-That's What You Get For Being Polite (I really love this song)
-Push Me Away
-Things I Do For You
-Show You THe Way To Go

Most of the Jacksons songs are underrated IMO. They were a great group but don't get the recognition they deserve and I really think that has a lot to do with the amount of success MJ has had as a solo artist. His career has really overshaodwed both the Jacksons and the Jackson 5 unfortunately.
"And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ heart

"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always heart

I would say the Jackson 5 are very well know, not as much as solo mike though. It's the Jacksons who Mike has really overshadowed not the J5.

The average music fan can name a couple of J5 songs. "ABC", "I Want You Back" "Dancing Machine." The average music fan probally can't name a Jacksons song. "Can You Feel It" probally is the only one as most fans thing "Heartbreak Hotel" is a Mike solo. Hell, I thought it was during the mid-90's.

Some others.

- Blues Away
- Strength of one Man
- Even Though You're Gone
- Bless His Soul
- Maria
- We Can Change the World

Okay but I bet more people could name an MJ song before they could name a J5 song and I know that the Jackson 5 are more well known than the Jacksons but I still say that MJ's career has overshadowed the Jackson 5's legacy. Most people tend to forget that MJ was even a child star.

Time Waits for No one is one of my favourite songs from the Jacksons/MJ era. It's made more poignant because it was written for Michael by Randy.
I also love;
Give it Up
Everybody (Triumph)
That's What You get for being Polite (Destiny)
Bless His Soul(Destiny)
Push me Away(Destiny)
Even Though She's Gone
Gotta Find Me a girl
Blues Away
Style of Life
Dreamer

I was going to say Let Me Show You The Way too, but considering it even got to nr 1 in the UK, I can't exactly say it was underrated.

To me this was the period Michael was at his most soulful. apart from when he was a child.

"Shake You Body Down to the Ground" was The Jacksons' biggest most-Motown hit, so I would say that is the song mostly associated with The Jacksons period. "Can You Feel It" would be named because of its video, which premiered on "American Bandstand." You also have the songs from "Victory," "State of Shock" and "Torture."

I would say the mostly soul music fans also would name "Show You the Way to Go," "THis Place Hotel" and "Lovely One."

You're list was crackin'...until you put this song on there, I'm sorry, but this song is just BAD. And not in the good way per 80s slang

But since you put such gems as "Style of Life" and "All Night Dancin'" I forgive you times three. I know that you said "underrated", but IMHO, this whole Jackson era is completely underrated. All everybody remembers from this time is the album "Destiny." Here are some of my faves:
-Music's Takin Over
-Show You the Way to Go
-Style of Life
-All Night Dancin'
-Time Waits for No One
-Walk Right Now
-Lovely One
-Your Ways
-Goin' Places
-Different Kind Of Lady
-Find Me A Girl
-Jump for Joy
-Man of War
-Enjoy Yourself
-Keep On Dancin'
-Dreamer
-Destiny
-Bless His Soul
-Torture (I really don't think this song gets enough love)
-Body (Marlon brought the new flavor on this one)
-Wait (as did Jackie)

I love the J5/Jacksons threads! Keep 'em coming!

I forgot this one:

-That's What You Get For Being Polite

I remeber about three or so years ago when Pharrell interviewed Mike for Interview Magazine and he kept singing little snippets of this song during the interview. You could tell he was a true fan because dude didn't bust out with Thriller or something cheesy like that.
