lame...you can diss her fanbase...then blame me for being too serious.

yes i am telling you are taking all of this too serious because all i ever do is post pictures and emoticons...that's the extent of my participation within tori threads...it started off as a cute joke and has continued for years...not once have i ever dismissed folks musical taste...not once have i belittled folks opinions...i post pictures...

if you have had issue with folks in the past making fun of you for supporting tori then you best take it up with those folks and stop putting all your frustration on me...cause i aint the one.

But you said:
...it's just her rabid fanbase that i get a kick out of.

So I took the bait. I thought you'd enjoy it. biggrin

Actually, I TOTALLY was thinking of some African American jazz artists when I said that. I think I saw Ella perform when she was in her '80s. I'm just surprised Tori, of all people, is taking this route and being vocal about it. It seems weak. I'm going give Tori a call. lol

btw, I didn't realize you even read these threads.

And I bet her voice sounded almost as pure as it did when she was a youngun.

Just because I don't post on every thread doesn't mean that I don't read some of them.
I enjoy reading commentary about artists that i'm not necessarily into.

And tell Ms Amos I said hello. wink

Maybe she's just warning us that there might be a little downscaling in the future. Fair enough. She's been a road warrior for over 15 years.

I'm sure she'll still tour. It might just be a little more limited.

Have you checked her out before? I think with your musical sensibilities that you might really dig her.

On a very surface level during the late 90s primarily because of a business connection.
I liked what I heard but not enough to dig into it during my free time.
Now that you mention it, I may even have 2 of her CDs (Boys for Pele & Choirgirl Hotel).

Thanks for the link.

I dug the distorted piano vibe, the vocal wasn't working for me.
But then again very few Hendrix covers work for me. smile

she doesn't say she's not touring anymore. she clearly said "i'm not saying this is my last tour." all she said was this big world tour thing is too much for her. basically, she's not digging all the crap that goes with a major world tour. she'll still get out to major cities in europe and the us. she just won't be going to israel, turkey, bucharest, etc. any more.

supposedly somewhere around 150. not bad, considering you get sound check, backstage passes, seats within the first 10 rows, vip entrance and parking, and "crowd free" merchandise shopping. lol the last one cracks me up. but, not bad considering prince charged the aussies about 1000 bucks for the same thing.
