New PJ Harvey album "White Chalk" coming soon... Can't wait for this! Here's what I've sussed so far. It has been announced that a new PJ Harvey album 'White Chalk' will be released on September the 24th. The new album is piano led and is rumoured to be a departure from older sounding PJ Harvey recordings.
We can also confirm that the album, produced by Polly, Flood & John Parish, will be titled White Chalk and features musical contributions from long time associate, Eric Drew Feldman, and also Jim White of the Dirty Three.
Polly is expected to preview some of the news songs, at her upcoming sold-out show, this coming Saturday in Manchester. We’re expected more news over the coming weeks, so check back regularly. The tracklist: 1. The Devil 2. Dear Darkness 3. Grow Grow Grow 4. When Under Ether 5. White Chalk 6. Broken Harp 7. Silence 8. To Talk To You 9. The Piano 10. Before Departure 11. The Mountain

Sounds awesome! I saw the White Chalk title over at metacritic and for some reason got a Stories vibe. Sounds like it may be right! Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

I only liked Exile from Guyville. The rest of her albums are 5 good songs and the rest crap. Carpenters bend wood, fletchers bend arrows, wise men fashion themselves.

You know if this is a "departure" ala anything even remotely in the vein of Desire, I'm going to literally crap my pants. I can't imagine another album I love from her as much as that one and to have another glimpse of greatness would be more than I could ever ask for! 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

You have no idea how freakin overjoyed I was that you knew my love for her, that you were able to see me from that pov People often point to the darkness surrounding Desire and I always tell them that is why it's my favorite 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

And what is with the 1800's prarie type dress? Is there going to be a sense of struggle, survival and rawness to this new album? I sure hope so! 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I can handle anything from PJ. Someone should tell Anx that PJ is releasing her Diamanda tribute record. Can't wait to hear it. I loves me some female piano playing.

I think Anx has been off the PJ wagon for about a decade now. It might be too late!
