NEW LENNY KRAVITZ ALBUM COMING SOON! NOTE FROM LENNY! This is a message Lenny sent to all his friends from his official MySpace as a bulletin. The bulletin was called, " Albums Coming in 2008!" Here is what it said:
Greetings Friends, Thank you for your patience. I know that I have not been present and that you have had no information from me. The last year or so, has been a time for me to "drop out" of the so called scene and to focus on my life and music. It has turned out to be a very valuable time for me. In fact the next two albums are completed. The first release is entitled "IT IS TIME FOR A LOVE REVOLUTION" and the second "FUNK". "LOVE REVOLUTION" is scheduled to be released in February and "FUNK" will come out after the "LOVE REVOLUTION" tour. I wanted to finish them both so there wouldn't be a break in between albums. I plan to tour continually for the next three years. I look forward to sharing the new music with all of you, through the recordings and the live preformances. I am also going to make a point to stay in touch with all of you through MY SPACE and the new website once it is up. I am going to be doing many things differently than I have in the past few years. It is my goal that we will join together and start this LOVE REVOLUTION collectively. It is time... LENNY

LENNY Does that mean that his new music won't suck big time anymore and will be as good as "Mama Said"??? I don't think his music has sucked - but it has been a bit repetitive. Baptism was a little self-indulgent, but Lenny was really good IMO. Circus will forever be my favorite - it's dark and personal. His music is really good - and his lyrical ideas are sound - but he needs to get away from the Dr. Seuss rhymes.

Ah, this is the 'Funk' album I've been waiting for It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

Lenny has been very bland and boring recently. I'm excited.....

[Edited 7/16/07 21:08pm] I probably already was a Lenny fan when you were still putting your Phil Collins collection in alphabetical order. I've been to a Lenny concert way before he became a big pop act (with Keziah Jones as opening act). Problem is: I think that commercial success killed him artistically. "Mama Said" was an outstanding record, still one of my favs 90s albums, but then he released "Are you gonna go my way" aka , a collection of ballads for mid-aged housewives (with the exception of the title track and "Believe"). I think he never really recovered from it.

Regardless of his past efforts I'll probably check it out.
What happened to his movie Barbeques and Bar mitzvahs? Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Hopefully this new stuff won't suck like the last couple of cds. (it needs to be said again)
Maybe with an album title like "funk", he can finally get some creative help from his friends like Prince. I think he's still looking for his original thoughts. While he always puts on a good live show, the one before the last one was shit, his sound was set-up for arena but he was playing theatres. :disgust: I'm a fan of his stuff for the most part.

"DEEPNESS"... Yea, the "Lenny" album was unlistenable besides ONE track, Baptism had a handful of good ones but wasn't on par w/ previous work. I like enough of his stuff to always support him but he needs to come w/ it & focus on the music, not the models
