The tightest drummer & bassist combo?

Who do y'all reckon make up the tightest drummer & bassist combo?
My vote goes to...

George Porter Jr. & Joseph 'Zigaboo' Modeliste

Incredibly funky, incredibly tight.
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

Sticking with Pop music...

...Mike Clark & Paul Jackson
Not only did they have to be funky, they had to be skillful enough to play those tunes.

...David Garibaldi & Francis "Rocco" Prestia

Various pairings throughout the James Brown era...

Clayton Fillyau
Sam Latham
Jabo Starks
Clyde Stubblefield
Bernard Purdie

Tim Drummond
Bootsy Collins
Charles Sherell
Hubert Perry

...and others.

Even though it was short lived, Buddy Miles and Billy Cox. They really allowed Jimi to fly while they kept the groove tight and locked.

I also agree that Sly and Robbie were in there too. Larry and Gregg are tight all over Betty Davis' 1st joint.
