Just spent the evening discovering his music. Have to say he is pretty brilliant from what I have learned and listened to. Any fans here, and what do you have to say about him?

hmm..if you enjoy trent reznor then you'll probably enjoy skinny puppy(the band,mister reznor ripped off).

reznor has only two good albums..

Dont bother with skiiny puppy. Trent was obviously heavily influenced by SP in the beginning but he evolved way beyond them fairly quickly. Trent's music is actually listenable and accessable, save for parts of the fragile and downward spiral. SP are not so much fun to listen to. They have like 3 memorable songs. NIN is an industrial hookfest. Add to that the fact that Trent actually has a kickass voice. There's screw all melody or hooks to grab onto in skinny puppy.

I agree, Trent Reznor is a genius. I enjoy all his songs (from the beginning through Year Zero), but his masterpiece IMO has to be "The Fragile." Just a work of art.

Everybody rips off somebody, but I've always thought that the people who bring up Skinny Puppy in relation to NIN are really just trying to get in with a "I know more than you and I know better" line, when clearly The Downward Spiral is a great album.

I recently listened to The Fragile, such an epic, great album, takes me right back to being twelve.

I love the Broken EP too!
