One of my favorite pop songs ever.
I love the harmony, the beat, the overall tune. I've never understood why they didn't enjoy more fame in 90's and new mellinium decade (oo's) because their new material is first rate. They were always (in my opinion) brilliant pop craftsmen.


Anyways, just wanted to show them some love.

Personally I think the PSB have become better artist as they've matured. I could chuck most of their 80's stuff and never think twice about it.

I agree, the song is one of PSB's best! I have to admit, what got my attention with it was it's very effective use in one of the season finales of "Queer As Folk." It's hard to not hear the song now and still not feel the sentiments of how it was used in the show. (I've never seen the video for it either, but will always rememember it in QAF.)

Wonderful song. I remember this was released before id had chance to get into the PSBs, and it used to be on Radio 2 every morning as I was waking up - really not the kind of song that makes you wanna get up when your cosy ion bed and its raining outside - but i fell inlove with it through that. In fact, my whole love from the PSBs was spawned from this single. I went and got their greates hits, followed by all their remastered early albums.

I think its probably the fact that its sooo un-PSBs that it really made me listen a bit more. Is this the track with Johnny Marr on it?

Strangely this is one of the only albums by them i dont have. Is it worth getting? I really like "I Get Along" too.

They are quite busy actually, even if they don't get radio play here int he states.

Got to agree. They really grew as artists and certainly didn't peak with "West End Girls", or even the "Introspective" album for that matter. I think people have issues with the "Nightlife" album, but it's damn good!

Coming off of the Go West/AbFab Era/Bilingual...When I first heard they had a new one, I was intrigued. Until I heard NYC Boy...to me it seemed like their music got gayer and gayer. I actually stopped listening until the last GH package and then rediscovered them all over again...Uncluding Nightlife, which is actually quite splendid aside from NYCB.

Actually, except for maybe "Forever In Love" (might be a different verison), none of the "Relentless" tracks are on any of those "Further Listening" discs. I own all the remastered PSB albums (in fact, I own some kind of special editon of every PSB studio album) but not "Very Relentless". I'll get it some day.

BTW, "Bilingual" also got the remastering treatment (you didn't list it...includes great b-sides but too many mixes of "Discoteca").
