Rant on MJ fans the current crop of MJ fans have made me dislike Michael, which is silly, because Michael is one of my favorites. I'm an MJ fan naturally, but these crazies are dumb as all ish; mentally handicapped individuals.
The final straw and the reason for this thread was some of their responses to Chris Cornell's brilliant cover of Billie Jean. MJ fans are on youtube talking about "MJ's version is better" "He (Cornell) ruined it"..... even if you don't like the cover, why put a negative spin on it, accept it for what it is and move on.

I swear if you say to anybody that certain songs like those "Childhood"/"We Are the World"-type of songs suck, they (some MJ fans) would think you were smoking crack or something.

I've disliked Michael for years - ever since he went for the 'scary white woman' look. His behavior shows he's got a problem with blackness. But you're right, the MJ Lunatic Legion makes me dislike him more. They'll excuse anything. All I know is, if a grown-ass man was having sleep-overs for little kids in my neighborhood, I'd have five-0 on him so fast. Celebrity or not, that's inappropriate behavior.
There are fans and there are 'fanatics'. The MJ fanatics are wayyyyy out there - worse than Elvis fanatics.

I have to agree. I always knew that a lot of MJ's fans were crazy but had no idea Prince fans share this "Prince is God" mentality that so many MJ fans seem to have about Michael as well. A lot of MJ fans are a little out there but Prince fans (And Madonna's for that matter) aint too far behind . "And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ
"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always

The majority of MJ's internet fan community are annoying little gits who like R&B and R&B only. Stray away from anything they're used to and it freaks them out. That's why when they express opinions on what he should do with music in the future, they just list off the same old boring people who collaborate with everyone, and they actually expect an album to be nothing but collaborations

There was even a quote from Chris Cornell complimenting MJ a couple of days ago. I saw it posted on MJJForum and one person wasn't satisfied with his praise just because he called MJ a "good musician" in his sentence. Basically, if you're not totally licking his balls, it's unacceptable
It was in German so here's the translation: Chris Cornell doesn't like the way the media is treating Michael. He just loves the king of pop. He told FHM-magazine: "If he's on top or not, why bother about that? Jackson is and will always be a good musician, although he wasn't always lucky in the past. He'll always be an icon. I heard that he's working on a new album right now. If he ever needs help he can call me anytime. How in any way is that negative?

I didn't view much of it but I can't say I'm surprised that at least one member talk shit. So what if he didn't do it like Michael? NO ONE CAN. But you can admire the impact the song has that SOMEBODY IN ANOTHER GENRE WILL WANNA COVER IT! That's just sick. Ain't no way what he said was negative either, he hasn't always been lucky, I know exactly what he's talking about. He's good people. [Edited 7/8/07 3:43am] [Edited 7/8/07 3:43am]

They're a fun bunch of people. Matter of fact, I'll kinda excuse some of the people on MJNO because some are HUGE Prince fans as well "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. It's annoying especially considering that Michael wasn't really performing in front of "millions of people" until he was ELEVEN, not five. But anyway...

The guy was ranting about how people were talking about older music saying there was some "bad stuff" back then but he didn't state who, he just used that to base an argument with somebody. That's all MJJF is nowadays: ARGUMENTS OVER... not a got damn thing. I think you mean Rocks and Blunts because that's what "modern R&B" is, you have to smoke a good rock to like half the ish out now. The moderator will go off if you do that too. They did that with a news topic that really wasn't discussing ish but about Michael's finances (the Sony BMG deal) and two members were arguing and I was joking and ish. Next thing I know, "TOPIC CLOSED, WTH!?!"
