50 Cent thinks Ciara has a brighter future in R&B than Beyonce MediaTakeOut.com has learned that during an interview with online magazine Hip Hop DX, the platinum selling rapper claimed that Ciara had a brighter future in R&B than Beyonce.
Here's his exact quote: http://www.hiphopdx.com/i...re-you/p.4 HHDX: Fifty, I just wanted to know… how’d you manage to get Ciara to forget about Lil’ Bow Wow? 50 Cent: [Laughs] You’re a nut, man! They came at me about doing the song and I heard the joint. It was before her album came out and I was thinking that she’s the future of R&B. People love Beyoncé, but look at how long she’s been around! I think that she’s dope, though. But I’m about the future of the business and [Ciara] and Chris Brown are just that. They’re going to be the best things out in a lil’ bit. But as far as what people think between me and her, man… [laughs], the video did that. [Edited 8/15/07 7:18am]

have you guys noticed that 50 Cent is always opening his mouth, trying to pit one artist against another?

I heard an interview with Ciara months ago and she hasn't been thinking about Bow Wow for awhile. They keep trying to act like 50 crushed Bow Wow or something (altho I know he was hurt by the breakup). Not that I care about any of this. Shame on me. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

50 can afford to talk shit. Have you guys heard his new stuff? Dope
And he's right about Beyonce. The world is sick of her. Well, I can't speak for the world, but I am sick of her Smooches;)

Why is he even talking about RB, what does he know about it, he doesnt even know Rap. As far as Beyonce, shes been on the scene, what, a decade? thats considered a long time? If Ciara and Chris Brown are the future, RB is going where it deserves to go, down the drain. If 50 beleives so much in Chris Brown being the "future" how come he's got Thicke and Justin on his record? I really wish people would just shut up a second and realize how dumb they sound when they make statements like this, whats next Rihanna is the new "Aretha". "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

For someone as annoying as she is, I would say hell yeah If Ciara and Chris Brown are the future, RB is going where it deserves to go, down the drain.
R&B has been down the drain for a long time. Beyonce's overexposure doesn't help matters, IMO. Ciara and Chris Brown don't seem to think they are the best of anything, they are just making music. They are not overexposed either. I believe they are the next generation of r&b. We have to get tired cows like Beyonce and Janet out of here. We NEED something and someone new. I'm tired of seeing and hearing the same ol shit Smooches;)

i quite like Ciara. She looks good, is a great performer and most of her songs are good r&b/ dance
She's just gotta stop that "ich, nee, sun, che" crap, which pretty much ruined her lastest album.

But Ciara is nothing more than a Janet/Aaliyah clone and Chris Brown, well we know who he thinks he is. So really they arent anything fresh, i give them dancing cred, but vocally they arent anything special. I do think RB needs a kick in the ass, and people like Rashaan Patterson and Van Hunt and Donnie should be pushed by labels, And pushed probably, every RB male that comes out has the same look, same sound, same clothing, same videos, when did RB become the genre "of the least creativity"? Chris Brown is overexposed as well. I am not a huge fan of beyonce either. In fact i actually like ciara better than i do beyonce. Without being biased, beyonce is more talented than ciara and chris brown put together. Ciara is extremely beautiful however and a talented dancer but offers very little as a vocalist. As far as 50 cent's new cd, who cares but his audience that have no appreciation for the art of rap anyway. And if amusement park and that weak ass track about him making money is any indication of how his cd is, i already know it is dogshit. Kill him kanye. Kanye should challenge his non rapping ass to a rap off on the mike where it really should count. [Edited 8/15/07 10:11am] Don't laugh at my funk

There's an influx of new artist out if some are looking for the new. Unfortunately, they have yet to make a powerful impact. It's so very easy for someone to write material for an artist and place them with the "hot" producer for the moment. Now, if that's what some are looking for, more power to ya'. Hell, I dig THE Michael and Janet. It's more for me to enjoy if allot of others don't. I'd choose to listen to them ANY day over the overexposed, manufactored, shoved down your throat artists' of today.

You guys are really sleepy on 50. I'm not a huge rap fan, but I think his new stuff is great. Kanye is great as well, but they are VERY different and I don't think they are selling to the same audience.
As far as Ciara, I still don't think she is overexposed....and Yes, I am a US Citizen:lol:. She doesn't get the type of attention that Beyonce gets. Now, I don't think she is great, but I like the fact that she ISN'T trying to be a Mariah or a Whitney. She is doing her own thing and she's successful at it. Beyonce is not original either, please believe that. Smooches;)
