Once again, here I am giving the most important informatition about the hag of pop to my fellow orgers.

Madonna Tribe has just heard fantastic news about the recently rumoured duet between Annie Lennox and Madonna. We are happy to report for the first time online (meaning that this info is not available anywhere online as we speak) that the song is titled "Sing My Sister" and that it can be described as an uptempo ballad.

Madonna was the natural choice to take a part to this song as it opens with the voice of an African woman calling for an implementation of the hiv mother to child transmission prevention programme in South African hospitals.

Annie starts the song saying "Sing My Sister Sing" on a piano loop and then Madonna comes in after a couple of minutes for what can be called more as a "special appearance" than a real duet song. Her part (basically the bridge of the song) is reminiscent of similar appearances in "Sidewalk Talk" or "Get Over"

The song is an hymn to the women of the world reminding them that "woman kind" is strong and they have to let their voices be heard.

We have also been told the song, (lasting a bit more than four and a half minutes), ends in fade with an "African Chant", something similar to "Lion King" songs.

Well the only hope is that the hag just phoned in the byte and Annie didn't have to deal with the talentless whore. Maybe Annie is taking the charity aspect personally.

Well when this thread was born I thought the duet was going to be a "Sisters are doing it" kind of repeat. Though from what I've read its not going to be in that direction thankfully.

Yesterday, Annie Lennox revealed the title of her new album: "Songs of Mass Destruction".

Today, once again Matt has chosen Drowned Madonna as Madonna's news-site to add more... Here's what he has to report:

"Annie Lennox plans to release her new album "Songs of Mass Destruction" this fall. The track "Sing" calls for the implementation of a program to stop the transmission of mother-to-baby HIV.

She asked 23 of the world’s best known female artists to sing with her and every one said yes, including Madonna, Celine Dion, Gladys Knight, Joss Stone, Shakira, Fergie, P!nk, Faith Hill, Melissa Etheridge and K.D. Lang.

Annie will make the track available on the Internet, with all download profits going to support Treatment Action Initiatives (TAC)."

Matt has more info for our readers... The inspiration for the track was Annie’s trip to Africa and her involvement with TAC. Working with such high profile artists would bring added publicity to the cause. The track "Sing" includes:

Lang, Angelique Kidjo, Bonnie Raitt, Shakira, Melissa Ethridge, Sarah McLachlan, Fergie, Anastasia, Beverly Knight, Faith Hill, Pink, Sugababes, Martha Wainwright, Isobel Campbell, Beth Gibbons, KT Tunstall, Shingai Shoniwa and Beth Orton.

We remind you that at the moment there's not any official confirmation. Let's wait and see! Anyway, we at Drowned Madonna would be very happy if this rumour proves to be true!

please let this be the only "duet" on the new annie album. if possible,
let's not even have this song on the album and just have it be released
as a charity song -i'll still buy it for the good cause and for novelty
but please let's just pray for an all annie solo album. something quite
bleak, bitter and with the best vocals ever
