5 best consequetive albums by 1 artist

There have been many great albums by the likes of The Beatles, Bowie, Dylan and, of course, Prince but I don't know of any 5 albums made consequetively that would beat:

Stevie Wonder:

Music of my Mind, Talking Book, Innervisions, Fulfillingness' First Finale and Songs in the Key of Life.

This is in terms of groundbreaking, songwriting, musically and just all round god darn funky and moving tracks!

Any advances?

That certainly is an amazing string.

My vote would go to:

Prince- 1999, Purple Rain, Around the World in a Day, Parade and Sign o' the Times

Other great ones:

Eurythmics: In the Garden, Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This), Touch, 1984: For the Love of Big Brother and Be Yourself Tonight

Bowie: Station to Station, Low, "Heroes", Lodger and Scary Monsters

Actually, any 5-album string from 71-80 would be tough to argue!

Bowie would have 8 in a row for me, if Pin-Ups wasn't in there.

I think The Times They Are A'Changin' tarnishes Dylan's run. If it weren't there, then I figure Dylan could lay legitimate claim to having recorded six masterpieces in a row.

My version of Dylan's run would go:

Another Side of...
Bringing It All Back Home
Highway 61 Revisited
Blonde on Blonde
John Wesley Harding
