Diana Ross - question about Love Hangover

I like the first part of this song but I dont like the disco part. Is there a version where the first part of the song is extended more. I couldve sworn Ive heard it before.

Do you have the full 8-minute album version?

Try The Motown Anthology or Disc #2 of Diana (Deluxe Edition)

"The First Night" by Monica lol

Also: disbelief The disco part is fantastic -- the bass, some of Diana's best vocals, the backing vocals... headbang

This was around the time that Diana was accused of trying to be a Donna Summer knockoff. Lovin' Livin' Givin' from the Thank God It's Friday soundtrack is a total I Feel Love rip. Doesn't matter - Love Hangover will forever be a fave to me.

nod It's a good one. The Braxtons did a fairly good - if unoriginal - remake of it in the mid 90s.

Yeah,Disc Two of the 'Diana' Deluxe Edition features a 10-minute+ DiscoNet version of "Love Hangover".The slow part goes on for a little longer.

I agree, the uptempo disco part is GREAT headbang That bassline will leave you delirious on the dancefloor, and Diana's vocals are fun.I love her crazy little ad libs lol she sounds like she is really "high" from too much love,lol...laughing and mumbling, sounding like she's having a great time.

Many people said that "Love Hangover" sounds like "Love To Love You Baby" but I disagree.Okay, maybe the first part is slighty reminiscent of "Love To Love You".But I think "Love Hangover" rivals many of Donna's early hits, mainly because it's faster and funkier lol

How ironic that,in 1980,Diana would make a full-fledged disco album (the excellent Chic-produced 'Diana' album) while Donna would look the other way and try to do rock music (the 'Wanderer' album).

Heavy D. also sampled it for one of his songs. It slips my mind right now what the track is called.
