So I did security at the Police concert last night...

I will never, ever, everrrrr do that shit again in my life. In case any of you were there last night, I was the black guy standing at the entrance of the dug out. Okay, so everything was cool and what not, until people started getting that liquor in them. Mind you, I have NEVER been in/at/around Dodger Stadium, so I didn't know where shit was. There was this lady guarding the door letting people on and off the field. Someone would ask me where there seat was, and I'd POLITELY tell them that I didn't know, and to ask the woman guarding that door. So they'd go to her, and she'd send them back to me. And I'd tell the person "Look, it's my first night, and I don't know where shit is..." Then they were like "Oh, that's alright." Then roll their eyes and shit. Whatever. Uppity bitches. Then people KEPT trying to get into the dug out...where the vendors kept their extra drinks and nachos...
Them: OH MY GOD!! Can I just go see what it's like to sit down in there?
Me: You wanna sit down? GO TO YOUR SEAT. Unless you're a multi-millionaire baseball player, you're not going down there, and bitch, I don't see a bat.

Or...This one chick...
Her: OH MY GOD!! IT'S DODGER STADIUM DIRT!! excited
I'm wondering why this bitch is excited over fucking dirt. Like she's never been outside the house before. And it's not even real dirt, It's ground up rocks  Then she was hype about the grass! I thought to myself "Oh LORD somebody take this bitch to a park or something...
Over all, it was a horrible experience. I thought the concert was boring, but that's to be expected with a bunch of 70 year olds on stage or something. Then people started lightin up that sticky icky. I will NEVER do that shit again. Then the people who employed me said something about doing a rap concert. Kiss my ass. I'd rather watch my parents have sex.

So uninteresting. I almost had a Boregasm. He was off key and shit. I couldn't WAIT for the concert to end. You could tell they still hated each other. There really wasn't any "electricity" in their performances of the songs. It was more of a "Let's play shit they wanna hear and get the hell off this hot ass stage because I can't stand either one of you motherf*ckas or your wack ass mommas" type of atmosphere. But the people couldn't care less, buzzin it up and smokin that sticky icky. They could've sung a VCR manual, thrown in a couple guitar solos and gave a shout out to LA and people STILL would've lost their damn minds.

I was at the Dodger Stadium show. From a visual standpoint, it wasn't so wonderful. If your seats weren't on the field, you weren't able to see the stage very well. The performers looked like little moving dots. Thank goodness the tour was sponsored by Best Buy - the jumbo TVs helped immensely.

I'm 24, so before Saturday night, I'd only seen stock footage of Police shows. I knew they would sound fantastic, but that there wouldn't be much interaction among the band members. Stewart, as usual, delivered most of the energy. During one song, however, Sting and Andy inched close to each other and eventually were playing head-to-head. I'm not a huge fan of "Roxanne," probably because I've heard it so much, but I had a great time singing along. Sting also went for several of the high notes, which is something he hasn't done often on this tour. I'm glad when a concert breathes new life into a song you've seemingly listened to millions of times. I felt that way when Prince did "When Doves Cry" on the "Musicology" tour.

It was a six-hour drive to L.A., but I definitely got more than my money's worth. The Foo Fighters were an opening act (Sting's son's band, Fictionplane, was the other), and Dave Grohl and Co. brought it. They certainly were a tough act for the Police to follow, especially if you prefer bands with more fire. But all of my musical tastes were satiated, which makes it a memorable night for me.

I can't imagine them being able to pull off a show that size. They're just not visually exciting and their sound isn't really big.

this show was one that the 80's generation had been waiting for (sound familar to some). there is a whole set of fans that never got to see them back then so they were the "giddy" ones similar to when Led Zep reunited for Live Aid. if they got too loaded(fans or zep) well what's new. i see them at most big rock shows (stones, van halen).
I've been to a couple of Sting shows over the last 5 or so years and his biggest crowd response is when he does his Police tunes. i was worried sting was going to "stingify" the tunes, but he didn't. They played a STADIUM(55k) plus two other (~18K) arenas) and they sold them out. they came in into a big place and imo they met the challange. are they a visually exciting? no. did they entertain fans and show them why they were so huge back when? yes ... Sound Familiar

I'm serious. The concert was BO-RING. I stood at my spot and sung Lovesexy 4 and a half times back to back until it was time to go.

That's cool, obviously there's a huge appeal to see them, I just imagine them doing better ina smaller venue. I guess pretty much everyone would be better in a smaller place, though.
