Yeah probably Andre's "Love Below". I was like. These songs go more than just "im tryinna get a hit".
The last OUTSTANDING album I heard was Nelly Furtado's Loose. She really up'd her game and was a force to be reckoned with. By the time I got to "Do It" I was like....this bitch is baaadd.... Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

WHAT!?!? You saw the ORIGINAL and hated it?!? It's been called one of the greatest British films ever! The "Citizen Cane of horror!" Actually, I understand... It's very, very quirky; achingly subtle; and nothing like anything in its genre these days. Yeah, the music might be said to have some Celtic influences (it even features some reworked Robert Burns stuff.) But most of it is '70s folk penned and/or arranged by New York slickster Paul Giovanni. There is even one really campy disco-influenced track , but they dropped the dance beat for the re-release. Older versions of the soundtrack were a patchwork of inferior recordings directly from the movie (with all sorts of background noise, dialogue and abrupt editing), and they left off at least one key song, "Gently Johnny," which is recovered for this newer release. Man, let's just say it's been several years since a new release really blew me away. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

I wouldn't say either of them "blew me away", but I enjoy them both a great deal. And they're both earlier from this year, so cool...

It is an odd little film -- very folky, very campy. And it's peculiar amid its genre: more a detective flick with pagan underpinnings than a full-out horror narrative. Nevertheless, I LUVs me some Wicker Man! ...And, yeah, Nick Cage, is probably awful in the remake, which I have no interest in seeing anytime soon. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου
