Jeez, 17 songs - is THAT really necessary?

I've always found Deborah Harry's albums rather disappointing.

ROCKBIRD (1986). I love "French Kissin'" ,"In Love With Love", "Secret Life", "You Got Me In Trouble" and "Rockbird". Love 'em with a trashy passion.

DEF, DUMB & BLONDE (1989). This CD is my favorite. Wonderfully varied stuff and truly memorable songs. Alternative pop at it's finest. I love "I Want That Man", "Bikeboy", "Comic Books", "Brite Side", "The End of The Run", "Kiss It Better" ohhhhh the lyrics to that song! "It was a dirty September. I was thinkin' of Prince when I collided with you."

Once More Into The Bleach (1988) This was a comp CD with remixes. I love the fantastic remix of "In Love With Love" and songs like "Rush Rush".

DEBRAVATION (1993). This CD came out in late summer or early fall of '93. I remember as I was just starting college this was in my car CD player for months. I love "I Can See Clearly", "Stability", "Communion", "Standin' In My Way", "Rain", etc. Classic Debbie done right. It was hip, classic and a total flop in the USA.

When it's Debbie Harry, it's very necessary.

Out in the US before the UK...must be a misprint! She is touring this summer with Cyndi Lauper and Erasure for some gay tour (I'm not being a smart ass..it's seriously a kind of gay/out/let your rainbow flag fly tour that Sirius is either sponsoring or just promoting the hell out of through a lot of the music channels and probably OutQ) as a solo act. I found that weird but I guess there is a reason for it.

I remember a scathing review of this album. The critic complained that she was rapping on the first three songs...."as if that's the best she has to offer" confused
