I knew I liked him for some reason Robin Thicke stated that Prince is one of the top five artists ever and he chose to play Adore as his first dance at his wedding. If you've heard his album you know there are several of his own songs that he could have chosen. Check out this broadcast, he's doing his favorites and his commentary is priceless.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/1xtra/basement/

I noticed Prince's influence (slow only though) in Robin Thicke's hit song. My complaint with these people that are influenced by Prince, is they only seem to be into his slow songs such as "Adore". Actually, Robin's song reminds me more of "So Blue" from the "For You" album. Andy is a four letter word.

i actually prefer robin's faster tracks (which he has plenty of on each of his albums)...are they prince influenced? hmmm...i'll have to listen to them again and pay attention. Space for sale...

I dig both the fast and slow tracks. The most Prince-influenced song would have to be the outtake "In My Dreams." "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

The most Prince-influenced song would have to be the outtake "In My Dreams." and Threesome....He also produced Jordan Knight's remake/cover of ICNTTPOYM on his debut CD. Prince was just a little miffed that they messed with one of his 'kids'. It was Robin's idea to do it and he had to talk Jordan into it.

how'd it turn out? (the remake that is? a Jordan Knight cd would implode in my man hands)

I liked it. (Vainandy, look away now!) It was slowed down to a ballad, which actually suited the song well. Of course, it's a great song. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Robin's song "I Need Love" sounds like a classic Prince slow jam and "Can U Believe" features some cool Prince-like guitar.
