I love the cure but I find it strange that they plan to release a double CD because found their last CD very uninspired. I didn´t even like one song on it.

In 2004, there were rumours that O'Donnell was unhappy with the band and was planning to quit. In particular, O'Donnell did have big problems with the band, notably not getting along with The Cure's producer Ross Robinson. When O'Donnell started working on his solo album The Truth In Me in early 2005, he revealed he had no plans on leaving. However, shortly after in May, Robert Smith decided to reconfigure The Cure as a trio, without O'Donnell and Perry Bamonte. Smith apparently felt that they were on too different philosophies to continue to work together and fired O'Donnell over email.

For a long time Staring At The Sea was the only prerecorded cassette I owned, just 'cos I don't do prerecorded cassettes, but yeah, once the box set came out, I sold mine on ebay.

yeah, i think i have both the cassette and the VHS, but i never use either format anymore. it would be totally worthless of them to do, but i would SO love a re-issue of those on CD/DVD with the original artwork/liner notes/tracklistings/goofy stuff between videos. it was the "cureiest" GH packaging they ever did, in my opinion.
