I think she has admitted to being on drugs during the 70s. And her husband from the villiage People, was he the Policeman?

I'm really glad for her transformation,,,if that really happend, she knew how to turn her life around. Aside for the personal, she was a struggling obscure talent,,,,most of her work was in the broadway scene as a 'chorus girl'(in the Wiz and Dream Girls), so you know she has come a long way.

I love Phylicia and I love how dignified & proud she comes across, you could tell its not a front, she really does breath a new meaning into the word "lady".
