You mean she like a normal girl.
I don't get it? If she's blessed genetically with a voice better than most on this planet, doesn't that mean she'd be blessed with everything else needed to be my idol. No more idols. Everyone is regular deep down.

I had a massive gap in the front of my mouth,” she revealed, before explaining that dental surgery has fixed the unsightly injury. that's not normal... Great. I'll move to your neighborhood. When people here are headed inside or to the doctor, strangely they aren't looking photo perfect. They look like people. And more people than ever are having alcohol and drug problems. That's the definition of normal. Too bad there weren't cameras around for these people. [Edited 6/16/07 16:21pm]

If Minneapolis is considered a crack house, then that’s where I live. These picture are extremes. Yes, the picture here and the photos of her in magazines and CD literature. Neither represent her normal appearance. But both are great for the Internet. It’s what sets it off. This place would almost be dead without pictures to comment about. The point (at least mine) is that no one is worthy of idol worship (if no one is doing that here, why are they responding)? Unless being fucked up is worthy. In which case, there are a lot of choices open to you. John Waters is forgiven, because he likes this stuff (and I like him). Worrying about her? You bet. But that’s a totally different thread.

LQ See, that is so deep, because when Amy released this record, and then you started to see this physical transformation with her, I was thinking the same thing. Something in her soul is very old and troubled that she does remind one of that. I had a chain smoking, beehive wearing alcoholic auntie too. The life of the party, with a million husbands. But very tragic soul, and I miss her too. When I listen to Amy's songs like Me&Mr. Jones, or Just Friends (where you start hearing all those old skool Dinah Washington inflections in Amy's voice), its like it takes me right back to sitting in front of my crazy, troulbled (but loving and funny) auntie waiting for her next escapade to take place... My aunt liked those old men, I mean, not your daddy, but your granddaddy. I agree that Amy isn't a total alcoholic . . . yet anyway. There were a number of alkies in my family and one common trait most alkies have is that potbelly. While skinny, they all had a potbelly, I don't know the medical reason for this, but even my neighbor who hits the bottle more than food has a belly to the point where my kid asked her when her baby was coming out. My mom thinks it was in my aunt's genes because her father was an alcoholic. None of her other sisters became an alcoholic and they all grew up together and had the same kind of life, so there was nothing that happened to her to drive her to be so self-destructive. Either Amy is a) sick, b) anorexic or c) hitting some drugs. It's sad because people probably did give her a hard time about her weight as the entertainment field normally does. LQ

LQ I'm getting so tired of these women being put under pressure to be small. She looked fine the way she was. I can't imagine how it is if you're already sensitive with a destructive streak, suddenly get sandblasted with fame, your record company has you on a relentless schedule so they can milk everthing they can out of you cause you may only have 15 minutes, then have bod image problems in a skinny celebrity obsessed 21st century. Um, um, um...who knows, maybe she will have to retire early to get herself back. Either that or die early. And youre right, alkies normally have pot bellies.

Lastly, you're flip floppin'....or something because one minute you're saying this look is NORMAL but its just not normal for Amy?
