While the lyrics might not mean that much, it still is one erotically charging story within the lyrics. The lyrics are a pure expression of desire by Marv describing how he met a charming young woman dancing erotically on Soul Train and how he wanted to romance her afterwards. The bass, Latin-flavored horns, ghostly, but delicate strings, and chiming keyboards really sets the mood straight everytime you put the song on. Gaye's sweet falsetto lead vocals perfectly captures the song's mixture of passion and vulnerability. It's still a classic in my book and quiet storm radio stations still adore it today.

Sorry Afronomical, you know Marvin just won this contest right! With this nice, mid-tempo jazzy number, Gaye pleads and cajoes to his woman in romancing her and knocking those boots! It has probably one of the most notorious lines I've ever heard in a song: "I want to give you some head!" and it has one of the most intriguing soulful rhythms with the pulsating horns, fonky bass, slick guitars, and on-point drums. Marvin's vocals are definitely on-point with him begging literally and the man is talking about giving oral sex to his woman. And one other thing he confesses is his woman Janice. Has Maxwell done anything as shockingly good as this? I don't think so. This I Want You record is just getting constant spins almost everyday in my CD player and I think that I and Marvin have won this contest hands down with this song alone!

You can't tell me this is one of the most sensuous songs that Marvin laid his sweet and sultry voice unto! Even before the song begins, Marvin says "let's get naked!"
