I'm listening to Sigur Rós endlessly in the last few days and I'd like to know what others think about their music!
...'cause non of my friends know anything about them...

I just showed some songs them and they were like "oh, it's pretty good!"
And I was like "Oh, please! That's all you can say??? "

Please, share your thoughts/feelings about this amazing Icelandic band!

The first time I heard about Sigor Rós was sometime in 2000/2001. I saw their music video for "Viorar Vel Til Loftarasa (Good Weather For Airstrikes)" only once and both the song and the video had a huge influence on me.
Then I was hunting for the song for years cuz I couldn't remember the title of the song, and I wasn't sure about the band either...

Then a few months back I got to know someone (she's a friend of my boyfriend though I rarely met her) who had a random mention about Sigur Rós and I asked her could I borrow the album she has...and it was Ágaetis Byrjun that includes the song I was hunting for years!

I never knew much about them until I went to a concert. I was blown away by the unabashed beauty of the whole thing. Takk has become a wonderful anthem for falling sleep for me, and I hope to get into them further.
