I do like Rihanna but like her other 2 albums...seems the first single is the only good song...could be wrong...they way she sings the 'chorus' of 'Umbrella' reminded me of the Cranberries and their lead singer Delois has a solo record just out...I may pick that up. And the new Paula Cole comes out tomorrow as well.

this is the first time i'll be buying anything by rihanna. i like the direction she seems to be going in which i guess is more pop/dance. by the way, you spoiled it by saying she sounds like that annoying chick from the cranberries. god, i hate her voice but you are right!

suprisingly her album sounds pretty tight. i think her and amerie are propbably more similar now rather than beyonce which they love comparing her to.

Have you heard of theSTART? They sound like Missing Persons, but with a few more guitars--very 80s.

Well in JUNE male artists make sort of a return to my purchasing.

Obviously June 5th Paul McCartney's "Memory almost Full"
June 19th Bon Jovi's "Lost Highway"
June 26th Ryan Adams "easy Tiger"

And also Noteworthy is the INSTANT KARMA amnesty cd for Darfur, basically its a double disc of Lennon songs done by other artists. The cd is issued on June 12th in the US but best bet is to wait till June 26 when the import hits, the Import will include u2,REM,a-Ha,Jakob Dylan and Dhani Harrison and tons of others on a double disc.

As for Rihanna im interested a liitle bit, but i find it funny how everyone now is going for the 80's dance/pop sound now that Amerie and Hilary mastered it on their records, i dont dislike Rihanna but she doesnt seem to be human, she is very robotic and programmed in everything she does.

They are from California. I'm not sure which city. Their myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/thestart

Their first album is the most 80s sounding one. The song "Gorgeous" from that album: http://www.youtube.com/wa...-K64wVAn5U

Only new album I'll be buying this year is the new Prince cd. So, no June albums for me then neutral
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

Listened to one of their songs and didn't like it. Not going to buy the album.

Besides, I think you people have yet to realize that I'm probably even more picky than vainandy lol

Prince can deliver some good rock also. As long as Prince's album isn't shit hop, I'm fine with him. He never needs to sell completely out like Rick James did on his last album.
Andy is a four letter word.
