You got that right, then you always got that old drunk cousin trying to show the young kids "how we used to do it back in the day!" "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Hands down my favorite Gap Band song! Hell, it's on the short list of my all-time favorites.

I absolutely adore this. It's wonderfully sublime and makes me so happy whenever I hear it. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

I can attest to that too, ain't nuthin like watchin a bunch of 40+ folks tryna do the Rock off this track. But yeah, this is most definitely one of my favorite Gap Band tracks. "Say I'm lookin' at you, from the corner of my eye..."

If by "nothing" you mean "Burn Rubber," "Early in the Morning," and "I Don't Believe...," then yes. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

If by "nothing" you mean "Burn Rubber," "Early in the Morning," and "I Don't Believe...," then yes. I'd listen to Solid Gold Sunday EEEEEVERY Sunday sitting in front of my boombox, index finger on the pause button recording all my favorite oldies... and "Burn Rubber" was one of them I don't know why... I just never really fancied that song much about the "Outstanding" comment I'm not real real familiar with Gap Band's catalog... to know what's the creme de la creme or whatnot... but I do have this album (which I sampled "Baby Baba Boogie" for my first project... The EP) and of course, "I'm In Love" is gorgeous but I don't have any of their other stuff BTW, I loved watching that orange firefly thingthing or whatever it was that was their record label imprint spin around on my wrecka player that was the best thing about playing my 45 for "Outstanding" [Edited 6/2/07 20:28pm] because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

I'm not real real familiar with Gap Band's catalog... to know what's the creme de la creme or whatnot... See, now you're killing me! Chris, you need to be Gaptized in the funk! If you can, track down the original albums (starting with III and IV). If you can't, they have a few great compilations. The best is the 2-disc Gold: Disc 1 1. Shake 2. Open Up Your Mind (Wide) 3. I Don’t Believe You Wanna Get Up And Dance (Oops, Upside Your Head) 4. Steppin' (Out) 5. Party Lights 6. The Boys Are Back In Town 7. No Hiding Place 8. Burn Rubber (Why You Wanna Hurt Me) 9. Yearning For Your Love 10. Humpin' 11. Early In The Morning 12. You Dropped A Bomb On Me 13. Outstanding 14. Season's No Reason To Change 15. Party Train 16. Jam The Motha' (Munchkin People) - 7" Single Version 17. Someday Disc 2 1. Beep A Freak 2. I Found My Baby 3. Disrespect 4. Going In Circles - Single Remix Version 5. Automatic Brain 6. Big Fun 7. Zibble, Zibble (Get The Money) (A.K.A. Get Loose, Get Funky) 8. Sweeter Than Candy / Penitentiary III 9. Straight From The Heart 10. I'm Gonna Git You Sucka 11. All of My Love 12. Addicted To Your Love 13. We Can Make It Alright 14. Sprung On Me – Charlie Wilson (Solo) 15. You Turn My Life Around – Charlie Wilson (Solo) The only real problem with it is that it includes the single edits (which makes sense). To get the extended versions, you can get the bargain-priced 12" Collection and More: "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis
