TERRANCE TRENT D'ARBY'S VIBRATOR

Y'know, I found a bargin and a half in a shop in the UK called 'Cash Convertors' on Friday. TTD's Vibrator and it cost me a mere £3. I'm sure I've owned this before and possibly didn't get into it when it was released and so took it back to the record shop. Man, Im ready for that album now, it is totally fantastic. I 'get' it. It is poetic and musically wonderful. It's one of those albums that is just meant to be, written by such a wonderful creative artist.

Any of you's dig?

(Damn edits...)

My favorite album of his. The album where he really got everything 'just right.' The production was sublime, and the songwriting- top notch.

However *sigh* , I bought it in South Africa for about R80... which was then about $30 Australian dollars, which would be about $15 US dollars... hmmm ,,, and some of you got it for a $! ? ... I was robbed wink

Worth it all the same though!

It's so sad that an album this GREAT can be purchased for so little (it's selling used on Amazon for $1.98!!!). sad I mean, it's great for you guys, lol, but sad for TTD (not that he cares, I guess). People really sleep on him, but he's amazing. It's my favorite album by him, loved it from the start...

Glad to see ppl are noticing his worth.
I've seen all his tours except first.
Vibrator tour was odd with that blonde
hair (hard to watch the videos)---but
good show nonetheless.

Ohh, the ENVY!! What I would give to see that man live! I listened to Wildcard on the way home tonight & was just awed by the power in his voice, the strength, the beauty! Inner Scream (and it's reprise) just KILLS ME - I got an ab workout just singing along w/ it. Amazing power in this man... nod

Yeah, one of my all-time favourite records. The ballads are so strong (If you go before me, Undeniably, It´s Been said, Holding On to You). Saw the vibrator-tour, too. Great! TTD always reminded me of Prince. He´s a genius. He changed his name last year to "Sananda Matreiya" or so. Check out his latest CD "Wild Card" (came out in November 2001). It´s great, too!!!
See the man with the blue guitar, maybe one day he`ll be a star...

I think he is a genius too. Such power, such wonderful music... I need Wild Card big time... that's gonna be my next musical purchase. Isn't Sananda Matreiya his real name? Did I get that right from reading his web site?

I'd also love to see him live.

One of the most beautiful 'slow songs' ever created, 'Undeniably'.

Good stuff.

No, Sananda Matreiya is a name he dreamt. Quite like Princes name-change, actually.

If you get a chance ask one of his roadies/entourage why he hasn't crossed the Pond in such a long long time. He's got a lot of fans over here, scattered, but they're here.

I dig this Album as well when He is on.He has Hit&Miss Vibe like Most Great Artists but "Undeniably"&"We Don't have that Much Time together" are the Jams.We Don't have that Much Time Together" has Branford Marsalis playing on it&I dig that Vibe."Undeniably" IMHO is the Best Slow Jam of the 90's til Now that Prince didn't do.Batteries not Included Part cracked me up.

"Holding Onto You" is my favourite TTD song period. Did you know he inititally wrote it for his hero Rod Stewart but Rod rejected it...

That's funny u should say his hero is Rod, I can well hear some kind of similarity in the way they sing.
