The Human League-"I'm Only Human" I knew this song because of Craig David's cover from 2001 but hadn't heard the Human League's version until recently. DAMN! The original pistolwhips Craig's version repeatedly!
Does anyone else love this great song? "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I love "Human." Jam & Lewis did a great job with that one. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Craig David's version is pretty good, but after listening to original, I can't listen to it. It's too slow now "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

It's utterly sublime. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

Jimmy and Terry were HOT when they did that one. I love Lisa Keith's background vocals at that time. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

OMG I just noticed that "I'm Only Human" and Force MD's "Love Is A House" sound VERY similar. Has anyone else noticed? "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

It's OK but I like "Fascination" and "Don't You Want Me" much better. Andy is a four letter word.

I really love Human League. They've got so many classic hits. "Human" is probably my fave, but they really have a deep, awesome catalogue. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

I WAS RIGHT! I PLAYED "LOVE IS A HOUSE" And "HUMAN" BACK TO BACK AND THE SIMILARITIES ARE UNCANNY does a little dance "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

love the song, I'm actually listening to it right now. I can't recall what year it came out though, probably 88 or 89 right? this song obviously inspired what was to come with janet's RN tracks like come back to me and escapade(doesn't it sound like a slow version of it? haha)
and yeah it reminds me a little of tender love, probably cause all these songs I mentioned are in the A minor scale [Edited 5/30/07 22:48pm]

I would have liked this song much more if they didn't have that spoken part in the middle bout "while you were away I was Human too" that bit just ruins the flow of the song for me.

Love this song. Listen closely though it sounds just like former jam & lewis
protege cherrelle's when you look in my eyes off her debut album which is one of my favorites by her. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint
