I Sorta Like How Linkin Park Are Mellowing Down

considering what they're capable of, they compromised their style and risked their position to experience a change with their new project.

not to mention the very powerful video they came back with nod

i like this group a lot. i always encounter polar opposites from people; either love them or hate them. i think they'll be around for some time yet. love Chester's vocals and the lyrics are great. though their fusion of rock and hip hop type beats on some songs, aren't anything original, i think they've cornered that sound.

loving their new song music

i love the whole theme of the album and the title they chose for it "Minutes To Midnight".

Explanation of the title:

The Doomsday Clock is a symbolic clockface maintained since 1947 by the Board of Directors of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists at the University of Chicago. It uses the analogy of the human race being at a time that is "minutes to midnight" where midnight represents destruction by nuclear war.

The number of minutes before midnight, a measure of the degree of nuclear, environmental, and technological threats, is updated periodically. The clock is currently set to five minutes to midnight, having been advanced by two minutes on January 17, 2007.

I started a thread on their new sound a couple of weeks ago but everyone slagged them off. I think what they're doing now is an improvement. Much better than the rap/rock bullshit that is so tired now. Don't they remind you of a baby U2 now?

come to think of it, they do.

I think it's a plus for them to take such step after being absent for over four years or so. I'm totally supporting them on this project.
