I've loved their last two records (actually didn't hear the live one), especially A Ghost is Born. I didn't like every song, but the ones I did like were fantastic. They come across as deeper than, say, Summerteeth.

Being There is my favorite of their albums, though.

I think Allmusic, the very generous to new releases Allmusic, gave it like 2 stars. Must be a real gem!

WILCO is always great, they will never conform to the TRL world nor should they, they are a band that will always be a critics fave but hated by labels because they arent "marketable" similar to Ryan Adams, The Jayhawks,Lucinda Williams,Alison Krauss, and yes even Norah Jones who is slowly going back to that NYC club vibe again as the mainstream forgets her.

It pisses me off that MOTOWN is even putting out records by Lloyd and Tank and its been sitting on the MYA album since last year and has pushed it back yet again because it wants it to "have more mainstream appeal and buzz", give me a break already.

I guess their hardcore fans and the folks that found it intriguing that Rick Rubin was producing the album...

I don't think Jeff Tweedy was fully formed in U.T. He's still growing, in fact.

But I'm not saying you're wrong either.

Linkin Park has a huge cult following. That mash-up album project with Jay-Z increased the band's resume.

Linkin Park might be THE only rock band that use the same keyboard workstation (Kong Triton) & sampling drum machine/sequencer (MPC 3000) that the average hip-hop producer use, that's how!

http://en.wikipedia.org/w...k_(singer)

Tank is the stage name of an American R&B singer, songwriter, musician, and producer, Durrell Babbs.

Tank was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and raised in Clinton, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, D.C. Tank took an instant interest in singing and playing the piano, partially due to his alliance to religion — his cousin directed the church choir and helped the aspiring vocalist foster his singing talent from an early age. His stage name comes from his chiseled physique. A multi-sport athlete in high school, he had the opportunity to play college football. However, Tank decided to focus on music, and his talent eventually led him to an opportunity to sing background vocals for Ginuwine during one of Ginuwine's tours. Next, he found himself singing with Aaliyah and then Blackground Records founder Barry Hankerson, and his son (and company president) Jomo Hankerson took notice, offering Tank the opportunity to become a solo artist. In 2001, Tank realized his ambitions, seeing his debut album, Force of Nature, released to a national audience. This LP rendered the Top 10 R&B ballad, "Maybe I Deserve".

The next year, Tank released his second album, One Man. The single of the same name had chart success as well.

Tank has also made a name for himself as a producer and writer, working with artists such as Dave Hollister, Marques Houston, Omarion, Jamie Foxx, Donell Jones, Monica among others. Along with The Underdogs, he has worked with many different artists over the years and was also a contributor to the score of the film adaptation of the musical Dreamgirls.

Tank recently sold what was to be the lead single to his 3rd album, "I Luv Dem Girls", to Marques Houston who renamed it "Strip Club" (this song appears on Marques Houston's 3rd solo album "Veteran"). Tank has worked with Kelly Rowland's highly anticipated second album including confirmed tracks 'The Show' featuring Kelly and Tank and 'Ghetto' featuring Kelly and Snoop Dogg.

I wouldn't say it's a cult following. They're one of the biggest mainstream bands of the decade.
