What FUNK albums should I shoot myself in the foot if i don't have them?

I'll tell u my funkiest albums 2 date (tho we could all debate 4 hours what's funky or not):

ANYTHING by betty davis. she just had two remasters come out last week. i think the one pictured above might be a TOUCH funkier, but they're both out of this world. treat yourself to both. seriously. then go out and find her NASTY GAL album, which is even more funky.

Ok so, Flea is an ok bassplayer and he's basslines are pretty funky, but other than that, the band sucks balls. Kiedis is a crappy vocalist and I've never actually heard a Pepper's song that I liked.
As for Outkast, well, Big Boi is boring, but Andre has his moments. I got Love Below/Speakerboxx and I never listen to Big Boi's side of the album, and Andre's side has a whole lot of filler. Some ok tracks here and there but overall nothing to write home about. They also have a more contemporary R&B & Rap sound goin' on, which I do NOT like. I guess them boys can be semi-funky at times, but they are not worth mentioning in the same breath as true funksters. Just my , of course. You can go ahead and dig 'em if you like
