Jam of the Day: "I Wanna Be With You" by The Isley Brothers This jam from their 1979 album, "Winner Takes All", is one of the Isley Brothers baddest jams. It's an ass-shaker for sure!
You and me baby Gettin' it on You and me baby Come on You...and....me Gettin' it on You...and....me Uh....come one (come on, come on, come on) Andy is a four letter word.

Chris Jasper should count as one of the best funk keyboardists of all-time because of tracks like this.
I hope Sony/BMG remaster this album soon. [Edited 5/10/07 18:42pm]

It's about time somebody saw my little ole lonely thread down towards the bottom of the page. Where are all the funk lovers tonight? I'm gonna have to talk about them like a dog.....maybe they are at home watching "American Idol". Andy is a four letter word.

Tomorrow's Friday & it's payday for some people. The funk-soliders will be here after they cash their checks.

The Isley Brothers are arguably my all-time favorite act, but I have to admit I run hot and cold with "I Wanna Be with You." It's not a bad song, but you can tell their sound was getting predictable by then. It's an essential song to add to any 3+3 compilation, but they were starting to get into a creative rut with this song. THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums. HOLD ON TO YOUR DRAWERS!
