I always seem late discovering good bands, but I've been listening to Nickelback's "All the Right Reasons" and "Silver Side Up" albums....they are some really catchy hard rock stuff. Is anyone else into them?

I just downloaded their other albums but haven't listened to them yet. I hear that they are assholes, but I don't care as long as they make good music.

Every damn song is the same. EVERY song.

You know what? I've come to appreciate Nickelback. Why? Because they serve their purpose and serve it well. If you look at the Billboard charts, they've sold more records than just about anyone else ON the damn chart and have been there longer too. Why? Because they're making music that people actually want to hear. It's bare bones rock music that's about real stuff that everyone can relate to. When was the last time you could really relate to a hip hop tune? Bottom line, they're real, unlike most of the rest of hte shit around them on the charts and people appreciate that. You may not like 'em, but you can't deny they're genuine.

Genuinely crappy to me. But to each their own.

Boy do they suck.
