After watching this doc I actually view Lisa very differently instaed of for the negative things that she did in the past.Everything is circumstance. I'm not saying Lisa's actions were right but I can understand her now.

Same goes for me..

Uh-oh, I smell a cover-up. I just got thru watching the doc again and I noticed something right before the crash - Lisa was NOT wearing her seatbelt yet all reports say that she had her belt on. Something stinks to high hell.

I have a problem with that.. because i don't remember them saying she was wearing her seat belt when it actually happened... It's only within the last couple of days that they said she was... I thought she wasn't wearing one because she was the only person tossed out of the truck

No, in the doc it shows a newspaper clipping that says "She was the only one wearing a seatbelt".

I had already seen some pictures that I wish I hadnt seen of Lisa after she passed but watching the footage of the crash and hearing those screams hurt me deep.IDK...its just so weird how she looks in the camera.People say she did that cuz she crashed on purpose...that look looked more like a person who was at peace and just happy to be alive. It was just so real and raw 4 me cry

huh what? she went in and saw that he hadn't bought her any shoes and so she threw all of his in the tub and set them on fire.

and all of this happened AFTER he had beaten her. are you forgetting the part where she said she looked in the mirror and saw how badly she looked after he had given her a busted lip? i'm not excusing her behavior, but damn i sure do understand. you or me might not have done the same thing she had done in the same situation, but who am i to judge her and look at her like she was a crazy mad woman. I didn't live in her shoes, i didn't know what she had to deal with in that relationship and neither do you.

This was truly disturbing. It's very well done, but they might've crossed the line with that ending. I'm a bit freaked.

I missed the first hour of it.
I just checked the vh1 schedule and they are not airing it again anytime soon. As many times as they re-run everything else rolleyes

How old was the vehicle? I'm starting to think she was wearing one of those seatbelts that go across the lap.

I have 2 fuckin agree.People are so quick to call someone crazy and point out their downfalls.First of fuckin all I heard her side of the story and she had got in a physical fight with him.Did you all 4get that her fiance was charged with assault and when Lisa was arrested after the fire she was covered in bruises!Did you also know that Lisa is was like 5'1 and her fiance was a fuckin football player?!?!?! pissed When youre that angry and you cant do something physically 2 hurt the person you try 2 hurt the things near 2 them, like their possessions. It aint rite but Im not gonna call her crazy 4 it!Id call him crazy b4 I call her crazy!

It wasn't an old car. It looked about from 1998-2000. Plus, I saw the pullover across the chest part of the belt and it wasn't pulled over her, so it was standard belts.

Why do you say that when we didn't see what was in the road.... The film only showed Lisa from the front passenger's view and then who was filming turned the camera to those that were in the back seat... we saw Lisa swerve the wheel followed by screams then it goes blank.. It was reported that she was trying to avoid another car that was in their lane...

here's another account of what happened

According to Barry A. Jeckell, of N.Y. & AP on Billboard.com, “Lopes was trying to pass a car on a Honduran highway near Jutiapa when a truck approached from the other lane, forcing her to veer sharply to the left, according to police inspector John Cole of the resort town of La Ceiba. The Mitsubishi Montero she was driving struck two trees and flipped over several times. Cole said the seriousness of the accident indicated that Lopes was speeding, but he could not say exactly how fast she was driving.”

Whoa. I can't believe some people on here are implying that Lisa crashed the car on purpose. It just doesn't make any sense. She had no reason to kill herself. It was obviously an accident.

She was already carrying the weight of the death of the little boy. So even moreso, why would she purposely crash the truck with 9 other people that she cared about riding with her?

Would her last look at the camera seem so eerie if the car had not crashed? It was just a look that wasn't much different than many other times she was gazing at the camera.

Ok your saying 10 were in the truck.... The articles i'm finding is saying 8

Lopes had been scheduled to return from Honduras on Sunday, after volunteering at a children's development center and at the Usha Herbal Resource Institute, an herbal healing center. She was driving a Mitsubishi Montero SUV, traveling from La Ceiba to San Pedro Sula. Sources say that a three-person group called Egypt, her brother, sister and two producers were in the vehicle with her.

The singer was one of eight people in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Three members of Egypt, a new band, were taken to Dantoni Hospital in La Ceiba.

I don't think she crashed on purpose but what ever was in the road did not seem 2 create an emergency type response in Lisa. She was very non-chalant about the whole thing.

How do u know? Her face wasnt visible. You're thinking that just because we weren't able to see what was ahead.

I honestly believe if she did it on purpose the passengers would have been more verbal and at least screamed her name.

After Lisa's passing, I bought a Sister 2 Sister tribute magazine to Lisa. It has interviews from her mother, sister, Katrina(member of Egypt), Phobia(Lisa's producer), Stephanie Patterson, and other friends and family members.

According to Phobia who was in the truck(Lisa's producer).

There were 10 people in the car. Lisa, 4 members of Egypt, Lisa's sister Raina, Phobia, and 3 cameramen. Lisa's brother Ronald wasn't in the truck because he stayed at the Village and was going to meet with Lisa later that day.

Snap

seemed to me that maybe one too many ppl were distracted by the CD
passing it, looking at it, talking about it
eyes back on the road too late
that was my first impression
anyway, i found it shocking too
i really wasn't expecting them to show it
i had no idea the tape was rolling at the time
chills
