Star Time! Awhile ago I started a thread asking for James Brown album suggestions. I am happy to report that I am now the proud owner of the Star Time boxset (bday gift from the 'rents, yay!).
Just picked it up from the post office this morning on my way to work and damn it's funky. I had a smile on my face all day and didn't even listen to all four discs yet. I was at my desk all day! So thanks to all you orgers who recommended it, excellent suggestion! The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp. | |
