I am so bummed I havent seen this! Damn it. My sister made us get this lame ass cable that doesnt include VH1!

Left Eye was my favorite entertainer of her time. She sums up the early/mid 90s to me. She was such a rock star of the group--she drank, cursed, burned down the house, wore the most outrageous shit, spoke her mind, apparently was a "cutter"--man she was so creative.

It's really eerie if you play the rap in "Somethin Wicked This Way Comes" from CSC. She always knew she would die young it seems.

I saw the documentary movie last night and again about a hour ago. I almost cried the first time that I saw that scene of her driving and losing control. I get a chill in my body everytime that I see that part. I love the documentary, I thought it was great watching it. From the producers of 'Tupac Resurrection' (2003), 'Last Days of Left Eye' was another great documentary that gives you a look inside ones view. It was interesting hearing Lisa tell her story and speaking about her ups and downs of life. It's great to know that Lisa Lopes was trying to better herself and looked forward to the future. I still miss here and her work of art is never forgotten.

Hi all,

I thought that the car crash scene was one of the most disturbing things that I saw this year! Does anyone think that she might be alive if she wasnt looking at the camera when the accident happened?

I haven't seen this and doubt it will be shown in the UK for sometime. Quite amazed from the descriptions that they showed up to the actual crash but I gather that this had to be cleared by her family first.

I learnt soon after her death that she was thrown from the car, fracturing her skull when she landed. I reckon that regardless of whether she was looking at the camera she may have still been thrown from the car.

I'm like Sosgemini, i've no interest in seeing this. I was involved in a violent car wreck 2+ years ago. Two passengers were ejected, me and the driver were not. I sustained a broken left femur, dislocated hip, and shattered right wrist. They took pitcures of the wreckage and asked me if i wanted to see them..

"HELL No!.. I was there".

I agree with you, it doesnt really make a difference. I am still personally shaken with the ending, though. I have never seen anything quite like that, and I hope I will never see that again. I just cant get that look that she gave the camera before it faded to snow out of my head.

Im sorry but that show messed me up

I wasn't expecting them to show what they did. You could tell during the last minute what was coming, but before that I had no idea.

yeah i saw it too. I didn't know that she was such a talented artist. She was right about the bad publicity she got when she burned the house down. I remember at that time when she made out to be this crazy wild drunk woman who burned down this poor NFL star's house over jealousy. But she was really getting beat up by this bastard. It makes me wonder what would i had done in that situation.

well let's not discount the fact that she WAS this crazy wild drunk woman who burned down this NFL star's house over jealousy. she even says so in the documentary.

huh?

I finally saw the ending just now and they didn't show the actual crash, they just showed the car swerving and you heard them yell and then they went to snow, so it wasn't as bad as some here have made it out to be. I was expecting to see the car roll thru the camera's POV and stuff flying around and then them show Lefty unconscious or something.

whats crazy is people are saying that on youtube 2. confused
I think people were expecting a hollywood movie scene.
When crazy life or death stuff goes down its not always screaming and violins playing. In all my close 2 death experience I couldnt even scream...I was 2 focused on trying 2 take control of the situation.

It's really crazy to me. Dissecting the way she swerved the car & why - the girl is fucking DEAD. It's amazing that people think they can determine what "really happened" based on their own expectations. Things are weird, shit happens, she's dead - I'm not sure she would have planned THAT.

And lets remember the power of editing people - it completely shapes the story. & if there was any hint of anything that clued into accidents or her death, they were gonna put it in just to make it all the more eerie. Those comments/occurences were just moments in time but in retrospect they hold a lot more weight. The filmmakers know that & will pimp it to the hilt to make it more interesting...

I watched the doc this afternoon and it was excellent. When it came down to the crash, it took my breath away. I mean we were pretty much seeing her last seconds on earth. It freaked me out but the whole thing was great. I really miss Left Eye. She was so smare and so talented. I wonder sometimes where TLC would have gone if Left Eye was still here.

I'm sorry that anybody dies tragically, but Lisa Lopes was a vainglorious, self-deluding alcoholic whose legacy will include everything but her mediocre art. Why this culture of ours continues to celebrate such recklessness is beyond me. I hope she R.I.P.

I know I'm gonna have to watch it, though it's gonna haunt me. But I just have to. Hell, I just watched that doc "The Bridge" the other day about the jumpers off the Golden Gate. It's awful, but I can't look away...

Although I knew that they captured her death on film, I was still shaken when that part came up, There is more footage but her family does not want that to be screened, I bought the Supernova CD when I was working for HMV, It was an Import.. I thought she was a huge talent with a lot of inner turmoil and it appeared that in her final days that she found some peace within herself and I find some comfort in that.. I see some want to dwell on her past.. To answer a few questions that i saw some orgers asked... Lisa was the only person that died in that accident and those that survived said that Lisa was swerved to avoid a car that driving in their lane.

Well maybe that's how you will remember her but i never thought her talent was mediocre and if you watched the documentary she addressed how she started abusing alcohol and i got the impression that she had dealt with that particular demon

After watching this doc I actually view Lisa very differently instaed of for the negative things that she did in the past.Everything is circumstance. I'm not saying Lisa's actions were right but I can understand her now.
