The Grammys of the 90s were crap!

i'm just on wikipedia looking at the Grammys listings and the 90s were terrible times for music. they awarded truly boring songs with awards.
its like nothing new was happening.

Miles won for Aura, and Peter Gabriel won for Passion. Bonnie Raitt won for Nick of TIme. So did Soul II Soul for "Back To Life." Metallica won for One. All have their merits.

Have you heard Passion? I'd recommend it if you haven't.

I'd certainly make a case for Rodney Crowell and Lyle Lovett being worthy of recognition: they are two of my honest-to-god very favourite performers. Jeff Beck and Los Lobos are a-ok with me as well, though I'm not familiar with the material they won with that year.

Hey, the more the merrier. Maybe the title of the thread should be . . .

Milli Vanilli and Young MC made the Grammys of 1990 look like crap!

And then it came to these guys to win Best New Artist that year. That same year, they got it revoked. I laughed so hard when that happened that tears came out of my eyes.
