a album we never talk about: The Man Who Sold The World By David Bowie

i love this album to much:
my favorite tracks are

The Width of a circle
Supermen
all the madmen
running gun blues.

bowie sounds very black sabbath-ish.

not a big fan of this one. it's got a few moments, but overall, it's too "classic rock" sounding compared to what came through the rest of the decade.

I'm not so crazy about this album... confused

Of course I have some favourite songs like "The Width Of A Circle", "The Man Who Sold The World and "The Superman"(though I prefer any live version of this one). smile

I really wanted to love this record, but the songwriting (with some exceptions) doesn't fully hold together. The songs meander & lose focus. I like the style & the music is good, but it didn't hold my interest.

Actually he admitted that Hunky Dory was where he really started to feel comfortable with his songwriting.

It shows too.

There are many songs I really like on Salesman, but the overall record is less than the sum of its parts.

I think we were really close to the end, like 3 rounds away.

Can anyone help me find the last thread?
