I have been on the fence about talking about the issue regarding the scandalous “incident” that involved Pastor Mason Betha and his shocking transvestite allegations that have spreading throughout the streets of Atlanta.

Oh believe you me I have talked about it, but didnt know how to present it to readers of SOHH without stepping on some toes. I know ATL has alot of love for the Pastor.

According to the rumor mill- Mase slammed into a Range Rover (Thursday May 10th) on Spring Street, or Peachtree Street (it depends on who you ask) looking for a Transvestite.

It was in the early AM when Mase apparently crashed into the victim’s vehicle. The cops showed up but the former hip-hop star refused to get out of the car. It was only after the officer at the scene of the crime threatened to impound the vehicle that the driver decided to semi-cooperate. While in his hesitation state, several transvestites suddenly appeared screaming that the rapper had been circling the block several times trying to pick one of them up.

V103 radio personalities Ryan Cameron, and Miss Sophia have hinted to the fact that it was in fact Mason who was involved, however nobody affiliated with any major media outlet will say that it is in fact the rapper turned spokesperson for Jesus.

As you all know I am not from Atlanta, I am in fact a transplant from NYC. And Mase is legendary up top, if you know what I’m saying and I think you do. Shock Jock and former Hot 97 loudmouth—Wendy Williams was always dishing the dirt on he and Puffy’s unusually close relationship. Word has it that their relationship had gotten so turbulent that he fled here to Atlanta to start a new.

While the mystery of Mase still hangs in the balance, his name couldn’t be smeared enough over this recent incident. I attempted to call Mason Betha ministries yesterday to garner a comment, but have yet to receive a return phone call. But one thing is for sure; the citation that was written will be available soon and the minute it is - I’m going down to the courthouse to get a copy of the ticket (Public Information Act), which will prove that he was in fact at the scene of the crime.

One of my personal sources told me that she went to his ministry on Sunday to see if there was going to be any public statement made refuting the allegations, but she said that it was “business as usual” with no mention of the incident.

This story is not over…Lets see what unfolds next.

From my experience in the black gay clubs in the early 1990s before shit hop had completely taken over, there were several trade men (closet bisexual men who actually think they are straight in their own mind) who looked like, walked like, and acted with the same criminal "thug" mentality as these rappers.

In those days, you could tell a straight man from a piece of trade. Straight men usually dressed, looked, and acted like just everyday normal men.....no baggy ass jeans, no baseball caps, no thug gestures, etc. Trade was dressing like thugs back then. Most of them had been introduced to the bisexual lifestyle from prison and continued it on after they were released. They would come to the gay clubs to either fuck or get their dick sucked by a gay man....on the nights they couldn't get lucky with a woman earlier in the evening at the straight clubs. They see it as "an orgasm is an orgasm, whether it's a man or a woman doing the sucking". They think because they prefer women, that they are straight. They justify their thinking they are straight by saying that as long as they aren't the ones doing the sucking, they are straight. That's a bunch of bullshit and I believe in calling a spade a spade...to their face.

When shit hop took over, it got harder and harder to distinguish between a straight man and a piece of trade simply by their looks because lots of straight men started dressing and acting like thugs. However, if you think about how many of these rappers have been to jail and have that criminal mentality, more than likely they have had some type of sexual experience with another man....they just won't admit it. As for them saying "I hate fags", well, that's true, they really do hate gay people. However, they will fuck or get their dick sucked by one. They just won't admit it. When trade I have been with has tried to justify their straightness with me, I just ask them...."If you're so straight, why don't you brag with your male buddies about how many men you have been with? You brag about the women." They keep the men a secret.

Over the years it has become harder to distinguish between the straight guys and the gay ones, because of all the frontin' that goes on now. It's weird because some of the men will tell me how pretty they think I am or come dance with me right after dancing with other men. It's not uncommon to see two "rough necks" dancing with each other, then flipping the script outside the party and acting straight. I agree that the rap persona has had a lot to do with this transition in behavior among black gay men.

I have experienced some of the things u are talking about..Im from the village NYC..and there are certain parts of the village *the west side..where you almost know immediately if you see a group of black male thug types..that they are gay and headed towards the the water by christopher street and the west side highway to hang out.
