It's normal to kill animals. I killed a roster on friday to make a speciality called "Arroz de Cabidela". I used the blood of the animal to flavour the rice.

But seriously, I agree about the over-exposure thing, and also about the generally shit music thing, but she can sing. Saying relatively speaking would be unfair too. All in all, she has a good voice, and one far better than your average female in the same field.

However, I find something about her personality irritating. In interviews but also implicitly through music videos. There's something contradictory there, with the family values, religion, and wholesome element that's sometimes projected (more so with Destiny's Child, I think), and then the straight up, no shame selling of sex of the videos. Something stunk about the other girls getting kicked out of the group too. I dunno, I just can't reconcile the way she tries to come off, with the skanky, home-made, pvc, cut-out section, dodgy hookeresque clothing of 'Bills, Bills, Bills' was it? lol The only change I see since those days of 'Destiny's Child' (who had some catchy hooks) is a worse product, more ego, more transparent selling of sex, and even more exposure where the hype has utterly and completely surpassed the music as the most important factor in her success.

Its popular to diss Beyoncé because PEOPLE ARE SHEEP. She is overexposed. Why? Did SHE overexpose herself? No. Sony did. She doesn't really do anything other than sing and dance. Others have control over everything people bitch about. I'm not even going to entertain the silly comment about her not being able to sing. Anyone thinking that wouldn't last one day in an A&R dept. at a label because you can't hear talent. She can sing. That does not mean she's the best like some extremists babble against - go right to the end of the spectrum with it. No. She's pretty, talented and has stage presence and people have been taught to diss the most popular performers because celebs are built to be torn down these days. That's where baseless comments like "slut" come from. There are no industry rumors of Beyoncé being out there like that, so I know "normal" people who don't know her or have access to her don't know what they are talking about.
The point is, most artists are figureheads for a team of people and they take the blame when team members fuck up. Weave out of place? Hairstylist's fault. Who gets the blame? The celeb. Overexposed? Business managers fault. Its NEVER one person and ALWAYS a team of people making a star a star. If she messes up on stage, its her fault; blame her then. Otherwise, you're probably pointing the finger at the wrong person.

seems like most of agree: she is OVEREXPOSED lol

perhaps more of us would appreciate her if she was wasn't always shoved down our throats. She's going on tour this summer and when the tour ends, she should take a year off.

i've always wondered how anyone can say that a celebrity is overexposed unless you live next door to them and see them on a daily basis. nothing in entertainment is being shoved down your throat. you don't have to watch/listen. you really don't ever have to be exposed to anything you don't want to be.

Oh please lol You can't avoid Beyonce even if you wanted to.She is literally everwhere.Watch an Awards show...there she is.Turn on the radio....there she is.Watch MTV....there she is.Watch BET....there she is.Go to the magazine rack...there she is,on the cover of several mags.Everyting she does, whether it's a movie,a CD,or even a photo shoot...is shoved into the spotlight. The media acts as if everything she does is so amazing,so great,so unique, and so newsworthy.

my point is... turn all that shit off and go read a book if you don't like what you're looking at or listening to. nobody's making you watch or listen to anything you don't like. and it's nobody's fault but you're own if YOU are overxposed to a certain celebrity. there are other things on television besides entertainment news coverage, you know. I really enjoy her, and I hardly see/hear anything about her except on this site.

I agree with all of you who say she's overexposed. She's a workaholic and needs Jay-Z to tell her to SLOW DOWN.

But otherwise I love B and there's nothing for me to complain about. cool

PurpleCharm

Chorus: Dido
My tea's gone cold I'm wondering why I..
got out of bed at all
The morning rain clouds up my window..
and I can't see at all
And even if I could it'd all be gray,
but your picture on my wall
It reminds me, that it's not so bad,
it's not so bad..

1st Chorus: volume gradually grows over raindrop background
2nd Chorus: full volume with beat right after "thunder" noise

[Eminem as 'Stan']
Dear Slim, I wrote but you still ain't callin
I left my cell, my pager, and my home phone at the bottom
I sent two letters back in autumn, you must not-a got him
There probably was a problem at the post office or something
Sometimes I scribble addresses too sloppy when I jot him
but anyways; fuck it, what's been up? Man how's your daughter?
My girlfriend's pregnant too, I'm bout to be a father
If I have a daughter, guess what I'ma call her?
I'ma name her Bonnie
I read about your Uncle Ronnie too I'm sorry
I had a friend kill himself over some bitch who didn't want him
I know you probably hear this everyday, but I'm your biggest fan
I even got the underground shit that you did with Skam
I got a room full of your posters and your pictures man
I like the shit you did with Ruckus too, that shit was phat
Anyways, I hope you get this man, hit me back,
just to chat, truly yours, your biggest fan
This is Stan

{Chorus: Dido

[Eminem as 'Stan']
Dear Slim, you still ain't called or wrote, I hope you have a chance
I ain't mad - I just think it's FUCKED UP you don't answer fans
If you didn't wanna talk to me outside your concert
you didn't have to, but you coulda signed an autograph for Matthew
That's my little brother man, he's only six years old
We waited in the blistering cold for you,
four hours and you just said, "No."
That's pretty shitty man - you're like his fucking idol
He wants to be just like you man, he likes you more than I do
I ain't that mad though, I just don't like being lied to
Remember when we met in Denver - you said if I'd write you
you would write back - see I'm just like you in a way
I never knew my father neither;
he used to always cheat on my mom and beat her
I can relate to what you're saying in your songs
so when I have a shitty day, I drift away and put 'em on
cause I don't really got shit else so that shit helps when I'm depressed
I even got a tattoo of your name across the chest
Sometimes I even cut myself to see how much it bleeds
It's like adrenaline, the pain is such a sudden rush for me
See everything you say is real, and I respect you cause you tell it
My girlfriend's jealous cause I talk about you 24/7
But she don't know you like I know you Slim, no one does
She don't know what it was like for people like us growin up
You gotta call me man, I'll be the biggest fan you'll ever lose
Sincerely yours, Stan -- P.S.
We should be together too

{Chorus: Dido

[Eminem as 'Stan']
Dear Mister-I'm-Too-Good-To-Call-Or-Write-My-Fans,
this'll be the last package I ever send your ass
It's been six months and still no word - I don't deserve it?
I know you got my last two letters;
I wrote the addresses on 'em perfect
So this is my cassette I'm sending you, I hope you hear it
I'm in the car right now, I'm doing 90 on the freeway
Hey Slim, I drank a fifth of vodka, you dare me to drive?
You know the song by Phil Collins, "In the Air of the Night"
about that guy who coulda saved that other guy from drowning
but didn't, then Phil saw it all, then at a show he found him?
That's kinda how this is, you coulda rescued me from drowning
Now it's too late - I'm on a 1000 downers now, I'm drowsy
and all I wanted was a lousy letter or a call
I hope you know I ripped ALL of your pictures off the wall
I love you Slim, we coulda been together, think about it
You ruined it now, I hope you can't sleep and you dream about it
And when you dream I hope you can't sleep and you SCREAM about it
I hope your conscience EATS AT YOU and you can't BREATHE without me
See Slim; {*screaming*
Shut up bitch! I'm trying to talk!
Hey Slim, that's my girlfriend screamin in the trunk
but I didn't slit her throat, I just tied her up, see I ain't like you
cause if she suffocates she'll suffer more, and then she'll die too
Well, gotta go, I'm almost at the bridge now
Oh shit, I forgot, how am I supposed to send this shit out?

{Chorus: Dido

[Eminem]
Dear Stan, I meant to write you sooner but I just been busy
You said your girlfriend's pregnant now, how far along is she?
Look, I'm really flattered you would call your daughter that
and here's an autograph for your brother,
I wrote it on the Starter cap
I'm sorry I didn't see you at the show, I musta missed you
Don't think I did that shit intentionally just to diss you
But what's this shit you said about you like to cut your wrists too?
I say that shit just clowning dog,
c'mon - how fucked up is you?
You got some issues Stan, I think you need some counseling
to help your ass from bouncing off the walls when you get down some
And what's this shit about us meant to be together?
That type of shit'll make me not want us to meet each other
I really think you and your girlfriend need each other
or maybe you just need to treat her better
I hope you get to read this letter, I just hope it reaches you in time
before you hurt yourself, I think that you'll be doin just fine
if you relax a little, I'm glad I inspire you but Stan
why are you so mad? Try to understand, that I do want you as a fan
I just don't want you to do some crazy shit
I seen this one shit on the news a couple weeks ago that made me sick
Some dude was drunk and drove his car over a bridge
and had his girlfriend in the trunk, and she was pregnant with his kid
and in the car they found a tape, but they didn't say who it was to
Come to think about, his name was.. it was you
Damn!

lol

Its called market saturation. Every big artist goes through it. Its almost always a decision brought on by the labels, not the artists themselves.

You know what's funny? I don't even hate Beyonce.I think she's talented and a few of her songs are decent ("Deja Vu","Crazy In Love").I also think she's a beautiful woman.I just get sick of seeing and hearing her all the time! She is treated as if she is some kind of groundbreaking, important artist when she really isn't.She's really just another pretty face making (mostly) disposable pop music.

who is treating her that way? she's getting the same treatment every other megastar gets, including some of your favorites like Madonna.

But I've heard Beyonce talk lately about how much decision making power she has in what she does. I mean, if her team says, "Let's make a video for every song?" doesn't she have the right to say "no"? I mean, she ain't a new singer with no pull. I thought I read that she recorded a lot of the B'day album w/o the record company's knowledge. So I don't think it's *all* her team's fault on the overexposure tip.

Beyoncé is guilty of taking credit. She's too stupid to realize it just makes her more to blame for when things go wrong. She has say-so within the confines of her camp, like "I want to wear the black weave instead of the brown one". She has NO say so when it comes to marketing and distribution of records. What she SAYS and what's real is lways different as it is with any artist. You can't tell a major how to do what its been doing all along if you are just an artist. Don't be fooled. She's presenting an ostensible truth but if you think about it for a second, what business would allow a bobblehead like her to call the shots and make business decisions based on HER wisdom? Major marketing firms, accountants, PR firms, distributors, etc. all waiting on the word from "Bey" no no no! Not happening. Its all done for her and done so well that its easy for her "yespeople" to say "its all your idea" and she's vain and gullible enough to believe it.
Oh, artists are encouraged to record as much material as possible. There's no such thing as recording behind a label's back. They don't care as long as they aren't being billed for it.

Actually, since I hate, despise, and stay away from all things shit hop, I had never really noticed her that much until she performed with Prince on the awards show back in 2004. That's when I started talking about her like a dog.

Actually, it is pretty wrong of me to talk bad of her because Prince is the one that needs his ass beat for even being in the same room with someone like her, let alone on the same stage. I really can't blame her though. She's just shit hop trash so naturally she would want to have the privelege of being in the same presence as someone like Prince. Hell, even the Brady Bunch had better and more danceable music than her.....

Beyonce has reached the point where she seems to be in love with herself. Her videos are nothing more than glitzy self-tributes....the only message seems to be "Look At Me....I'm So Beautiful and Sexy".These days,it's absurd to make videos for every song on an album, especially when most albums these days don't last very long on the charts, anyway. Those videos are strictly to promote her image and her beauty.

Part of me thinks it's a great idea to do a video for every song but moreso from an artist who doesn't get much exposure or video rotation. Then, if you're going to do such a thing, the videos need to be more creative. Take a chance and do a video where you're not in it, ala Freedom or do some serious story telling. Something besides glam to make them interersting and uniquely different would be nice.

Did the record label tell her to do a video for every song on B-Day and make her pay for them?

Sometimes I wonder if all these Beyonce threads are part of her marketing campain. ofcourse every download, thread and response is tracked, and be honest (especially you folks that claim your so tired of her) she has built an image that is extremely intriguing. Now, for those of you who claim that she is being shoved down your throats, you seem rather to have open mouths. Most people that despise Beyonce could, if called upon, give every detail of her life.Passion for whatever purpose it may serve is still passion. By the way, don't stop the madness for a second, I love seeing how large she can get.

She didn't... It was a joint effort... she paided half of the budget and Sony paid the other half
