Would you pay $60

To see anybody in concert?

Right now I'm seriously debating over Erykah Badu. She will be playing The Fillmore next month, and I've never seen her live. When I saw the price, minus ticketbastard charges etc, I couldn't go through with it, but it's still on my mind. If it was $15 less, then no hesitation on my part.

Who would you pay to see for that amount or higher?

$60 ain't that expensive for a concert in 2007.
With Badu I'm assuming you get to see a tight at least 6 piece band?
That's pretty good value!

There's singers charging more than $60 performing with damn backup tracks!!

If you dig her and you haven't seen her, I say go for it.

Peace.

i paid about that much for my bjork ticket and it was worth every cent. sadly, for most big names, that's about how much you can expect to pay (if not more).

when i went to see Badu when "Mama's Gun" came out, she was only like $40 bucks...with an opening act. Would I pay more than that to see her now, most likely no since she really hasn't put out anything better than "Baduizm" in my opinion. "Mama's gun" had a few tight cuts on it, but I can still pop in "Baduizm" and listen to it straight through to this day.

$60 bucks is nothing for a show and I'd drop it to see Badu but if you've never seen her I'd think hard about it. Her shows can be different and while I've never been disappointed and am dying for her to come back to my area I know some people just don't get her. So if you think $60 is a lot you might not want to spend it on a show that's not what you expect. She might even be trying out new material from her (hopefully) forthcoming album.
Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Don't get me wrong, I have paid more than $60 to see a concert, way more. That amount to the best of my knowledge was paid for maybe 2 or 3 of solo acts that I've seen, mostly Prince; but when it comes to groups, the sky is the limit. Now I figure she will at least show up and do something. I was just wondering if it will be worth it. After missing her more than five times, I knew I wanted to see her, but still debating.

Yes, I'd pay $60 to see someone that I really liked. It's actually quite cheap. I've paid over $150 for one ticket before.
