NO BIG WHUP. just a question 4 music geeks like me

I've noticed as my appreciate for music has increased, so has my disdain for greatest hits collections....I feel like pissed when a cd store doesn't have an artist's full album, but only a bunch of hits cd's...I just know those collections are so opinionated and most original album releases contain a gem that is never discussed, and it ends up feeling like a hidden treasure when u hear it. (Ex: Kate Bush- "Army Dreamers" from Never Forever)

anybody feel what i'm gettin at? or does it matter 2 u?

But "Army Dreamers" is on Kate's best of 'The Whole Story'.

I'm the opposite in that now that I'm older I have less tolerance for album filler so I tend to but a best-of comp first by an artist and only if I love it, I'll search out some of the studio albums.

There was a point for awhile where I felt I was doing that too much so now in addition to the greatest hits, I'll look for one or two definitive albums.

It annoys me when I become a fan of someone and all the store has is greatest hits compilations mad

I feel you, bro
But uh, I pretty much buy all my music online nowadays so it's not a big prob for me anymore.
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

It's called growing up...nice work...now get out there and start digging through crates of records to find the REAL stuff...the force is strong with this one.

I've always thought of greatest hit collections as 4 NON-fans. It's like an introduction 2 an artist work.
